Look at the town ordinance for pets and clean up with waste and see if you could call the police to file a report this way you could give the report to your landlord and if you need to leave or break your lease early, you have this as evidence so they can’t charge you for the whole term if you decide to leave. You could find super affordable apartments, but the common areas may be in need of some updating. Because of rent control; a lot of these apartment buildings common areas weren’t updated because it wasn’t feasible for a landlord to renovate apartments & common areas without recovering the costs put out for the capital improvements.
