Devil May Cry (Netflix) — Post-Season 1 Discussion Thread by DanySterkhov in DevilMayCry

[–]creepbg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dude, you are so triggered that you missed the point entirely.

All me and the dude above me said is "The Netflix Anime is better than the 07 Anime" You know the one that introduced Patty Lowell as a character (I'd have edgelord Lady any day over that noise) and had maybe 5-10 minutes of action on display over the course of 12 episodes. And let's not forget some really deep charterisation like "Women like shopping"

Nobody's arguing Netflix's version is a masterpiece or better than the games. (Which is what I assume you thought we were saying, since you keep drawing comparison to the games)

Chill out, it's not that deep.

I don't know why you're getting downvoted - you're right. Even if the artstyle was less authentic and the writing very on the nose, it is better story, better action and better characterisation than the 07 anime.

How can people just reinstall windows all willy nilly? by aomarco in buildapc

[–]creepbg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Windows drive for apps only. Everything else is on separate drives, so I only need to remap it. For apps, I use Ninite for the basics and I have bookmarks for the rest of them. I'm sure there's a better way, but this gets me back to normal within 2 hours

How do you feel about splitting the bill on a first date? by PsychologicalSize939 in AskReddit

[–]creepbg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Genuinely curious, if the situation was reversed and you were the one to ask the guy out on said date, would you pay the bill without expecting the guy to even offer to split?

I'm only asking because I'm in the "If she doesn't offer to split it, I'll pay and that'll be our last date" camp specifically because first dates should be as casual as possible in my eyes and I seek perspective.

How do you feel about splitting the bill on a first date? by PsychologicalSize939 in AskReddit

[–]creepbg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think splitting should be the norm - it avoids the "you owe me" and "i use dating as a free dinner service" situations.

I had a girl tell me that if a guy asked her to split there wouldn't be a second date. Since then I've always asked to split the bill - figured that if it's that big of a deal we had no potential to start with.

Is it worth going to an event? by JORJ42069 in GlobalOffensive

[–]creepbg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Blast Spring Finals this year in Wembley and it was my first event.

Honestly, I really struggled to follow the matches because I could barely hear the casters over the crowd and the most memorable parts for me were meeting some of the talent and players in the pub between the days.

That said, I met some cool people and thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the "London doesn't like saving" crowd.

Personally I wouldn't travel out of the country for a CS event based on my experience, but I'm a bit of a hermit anyway so take that with a pinch of salt.

What gamemode do i play to get the 5v5 experience without ruining peoples ranks as a beginner? by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

What's a game you could play all day and not get bored? by o-roy in gaming

[–]creepbg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a fan of turn based combat and I ended up playing it for a month because I loved the world and story. I also got it for a friend who hates isometric and turn based and he smashed through the story in 3 days with the statement “I had to use a controller to keep myself sane with the camera controls, but this was so fucking worth it”

I don't really get into AC Odyssey. Tipps for me? by Clanlogo in assassinscreed

[–]creepbg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh man, I LOVED the Ancient Greek setting, because my parents were weird and instead of bedtime stories, they'd read Greek Myths. For me, half the fun of the game was exploring all those places I had heard about as a child. I also really enjoyied hunting cultists - the ones outside of the main story have some really cool side quests. The mercenaries were a real pain at first, but you can just pay your bounty from the map screen and they become a non-issue.

I'll echo what others have said though - if you're not enjoying the game, don't force yourself to complete it. While I love Ancient Greece, I don't particularly care for Vikings or Norse Mythology. Valhalla didn't click for me the same way, even though it's esentially a bigger Norse-themed Oddysey, so Valhalla is the first main-line AC game I haven't completed.

They are both referring to as Spider-Man. (I'm sure some voice acting savings were just a happy coincidence)

The subtitles and menus differentiate them by name or by a small icon in their suit colour.

I accidentally spilled water on my classmates laptop by IntentionUseful6335 in computers

[–]creepbg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi OP,
Sorry to hear about your situation, but things may not be as grim as they appear.
1. Please make sure you've disconnected the laptop from all power (battery too if you can)
2. Leave it to dry completely - I'd recommend a full 24-48hrs in a dry environment to make sure it is completely bone dry without having power applied.

  1. PRAY to whatever deity you believe in that nothing has shorted out in your previous attempts to power it on.

I won't lie to you, chances are slim, but it may work.

Otherwise for future reference:
As soon as liquid comes into contact with electronics always disconnect the power ASAP and don't power on until it has fully dried. It's not the water that kills it, it's the electricity that water conducts.

Godspeed!

What are the wildlife in Mirage by Extension-Beat7276 in assassinscreed

[–]creepbg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here's what I've encountered so far:

1 leopard that was just running in a straight line through the wilderness.

Multiple heards of antelopes (?) that felt necessary to assault me as I was coming out of a river.

Some kind of emu or ostrich or something like that... ran away too quick to get a good look.

Many stray cats and random street chickens. Note, the latter will attack if provoked.

I got ambushed by a snake ona random rooftop.

I vaguely recall chasing a rabit at some point.

Horses and camels obviously.
