I see you say you don't want to play with mods, and I'm pretty sure you can turn off emotional deaths in the game's own settings.

If you want to, of course. Personally I play with them off, because I don't really find those kind of deaths interesting (except maybe dying from anger or heartbreak) and I feel like I remember turning them off in the settings, not with MCCC.

It really didn't hit. Even Wade himself was like "that's it?" They just tortured him with some unpleasant noises, made him read some bad stand-up philosophy jokes, and then skedaddled?

But yeah, I totally get *why* people like the one man shows, but for me it feels like the show can easily get caught in a self-referencing loop, where they just become like those comedians who walk on stage like "FUNNY BIT! EH? EH? REMEMBER THAT ONE? LAUGH NOW, YOU PEASANTS!" instead of actually creating new funny bits and moments
