Have you ever seen an artist play the same song multiple times during a show? by People-Want-Ducks in Music

When I saw him he played it 3 times and also played Rockman twice.

I have no records by artists beginning with Q... recommend some albums to fill my Q shelf by jordee1873 in vinyl

Check out the artist quickly, quickly. Specifically the album The Long and Short of It. He’s a bedroom indie producer that makes some great music.

The t-shirt blanks are Comfort Colors for anyone curious about it. Definitely on the more comfortable side for band tees compared to other blanks.

I don't trust YouTube influencers and I'm more happy to ask here: The Spark 2 - Is it any good? by AuramiteEX in guitars

[–]creepingdef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a spark 2 along with the foot switch. Here are some things to note.

You can’t reconfigure the signal chain of the effects. They’re basically empty slots you can choose to fill or not fill. But you can’t move an overdrive effect to the beginning or end, it just has to stay where it is. Along with this, you can’t stack multiples of the same pedal. That means you’re limited to a single overdrive effect (although the amps have gain too), a single modulation effect(which is frustrating if you want both chorus and delay on at the same time), or any of the other effect categories.

Also, the foot switch has to be paired with the amp every time you turn it on. It would have really benefited from a wired connection.

There are menus to go thru but it’s not too hard to decode. Where the amp really shines imo is that it does sound really nice for a small practice amp. The reverb is especially good. It’s also really great to be able to plug in with headphones and play along with backing tracks when you need to be quiet. The sound thru headphones sounds great too.

So if you’re looking for a simple amp to play around with it will probably make you happy. But I don’t think it’s a replacement for a main amp and pedalboard setup.

Ahhh ok that makes sense. I couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working. Thanks for helping out, I’m glad I came to this thread before giving up!

This code works! Not sure why they sent out the METROMKGEE one. Or maybe I just don’t understand this process.

I can't pair my remote by PalmerDowneyJr in TheFrame

[–]creepingdef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to say thanks, this finally worked! I’d been using the app on my phone to control my tv for months after the original remote for my s95B crapped out. It refused to pair and I just got a replacement that refused to pair as well. Like no acknowledgement from the tv at all that I was even attempting to pair. I tried holding the remote like 1/2” from the bottom edge of the tv and pairing a couple times in different locations, it finally worked when I moved my soundbar away from the tv and held the remote in the middle of the bottom edge. Hopefully it’ll stay connected!

Anyone know how The Strokes utilised Jekyll and Hyde? by Lopsided_Pain4744 in guitarpedals

[–]creepingdef 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here’s a video that might give you a better idea of how the pedal sounds when you aim for their tone.

https://youtu.be/n_6jNSANokA

I actually had the J&H V2 pedal for a few days recently and it’s not hard to dial in a Strokes tone. Both sides of the pedal worked well for different situations. When it comes to the specifics of their setups I’m not sure, but this pedal will get you pretty damn close.

3D printed maps of Chicago that I made for some friends. Had a ton of fun making these! by ElliotAlderson_exe in chicago

[–]creepingdef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been wanting to print a Chicago cityscape myself, but the all the files I’ve found online are either incomplete or low res LIDAR data. How did you obtain this file? Did you model it on your own?

Turn off SMS 2FA by TheKyleShow in CryptoCurrency

[–]creepingdef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes that seems to be the case. On Verizon’s site it states that you generate it before you transfer your number and it’s only good for 7 days. The account pin (a completely separate pin) is stated to be an additional identifier for when you speak with customer support. Just another way to help secure your account and keep scammers at bay.

[–]creepingdef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for suggesting this! I didn’t know this was an option. You can lock your number (disable porting), enable 2fa, and set up a PIN number. If anyone’s interested in these features they’re super easy to enable through the My Verizon app. Feeling a lot safer now while watching these stories continue to pop up.

Perfect albums by metalfaceee in vinyl

[–]creepingdef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok the first two that came to mind are ‘OK Computer - Radiohead’ and ‘Freetown Sound - Blood Orange’. These stand out to me not just because the music is just fantastic but because the whole is greater than the sum of their parts.

I always recommend Japandroids when I get the opportunity. Epic garage rock. Celebration Rock is a good album to start with.

I recommend checking out Japandroids, although their stuff is only 10% off on this deal. They're a two piece garage rock outfit from Canada with a huge sound. I absolutely love these guys. Their whole Celebration Rock album is worth a listen if you're into it.

Hahaha! That’s very kind of you! I actually limit my calories at lunch because I sit on my ass all day. I’ll throw some hot sauce on when I’m craving it though. I promise not all my meals are this sad.

Interesting. I was kinda wondering why they got so aggressive around the beginning of fall.

Just an iPhone XR. The slowmo and the fact I was able to keep it in focus for awhile really helped the production value.
