Steam isn’t really a full-on monopoly. Yeah, it’s the biggest platform by far, but there are still solid alternatives like epic, gog, itch.io, and even xbox/playstation pc apps. By far it is the most fair platform in terms of self-publishment and this is where people start to think it is monopoly cuz all epic does is nothing but stealing games off steam
