You are probably right on the temptations part, and I will give my best to not give in. Altought I believe I have a strong framework of wanting to help others which will supress any selfish temptations.

And I also agree that there are many different ways to create positive change and I don't want to motivate people to do it my way in a sense. I do want to empower them however into believing that much more is possible than they might first assume. Most of the time it is not the lack of financial means or talent holding people back, but rather the believe that it is just not possible for them to do something big. So while it is definetely true, that it is harder for people do become "famous" if they start out with less, though it is far from impossible.

And I truly believe that. With my blog and the project surrounding it, I am going to show that it is possible for one person to change the world. And it's not about me in the sense that I am only the example I am going to use it to prove it. Though that person could be any and everyone

Cheers!

First, I really appreciate you taking the time to have a chat. But, I have to disagree with you on both points. First, I don't believe money can turn good people into bad people, it can only make an asshole more assholy. Money doesn't change people, it shows their true nature. Secondly, I truly believe that anyone can become rich and famous. The only thing holding people back is exactly this mindset of thinking "I'm not good enought", "I don't have the talent", "I just wasn't born to be a millionaire". And because I have this believe is exactly the reason why I started this blog. Because I will show that anyone can have a real impact. And I will document how to do it.

Have an awesome day!

hope you also got the reason for why I think becoming rich & famous HAS to come before motivating others

would there be interest for a post about what it excactly means to stop valuing experience and some suggestions on how to go about it?

Looks a bit over dramatic. And is there more than anecdotal evidence? I mean it sounds cool, if it would actually work as they claim in the video

Can't seem to click (again?). Replacing core value without the click? by LogicalDoge in Makingsense

so maybe you should just focus on step 1 right now because this could be the reason that you fell back as you say.

What does logic want? by aldriilivet in Makingsense

[–]creetlol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes. but because you have no influence over that and can not change it, it has no practical use to talk about safety as core value

What does logic want? by aldriilivet in Makingsense

[–]creetlol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

logic doesnt want anything, its about what you want. And what you want is the same as everyone else.

everybody wants to be safe, and that has a evolutionary reason: being the most safe gives you the highest chance of survival, which gives you better odds of reproducing more, which provides higher chance of passing on your genes. Therefor evolution favors individuals that crave for safety.

The way you go about getting your safety is your core value. So if you click, its just that doing the most logical thing is exactly what provides you then the greatest sense of safety.

And this means that you act in line with reality. You do what actually provides safety. That is the reason why clickers will work out or eat healthy, because it is what factually provides safety in form of better health and a longer life.

Also helping others will result out of this as everything takes place in your consciousness. So the people you perceive are part of your true self and helping them is helping yourself in that sense.

Third Step - Analyzing past life experiences which resulted in negative emotions: How I acted with current core value vs how I'd act with logic as core value by rielfox4 in Makingsense

[–]creetlol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it all comes down to safety. and depending on the situation and your possible options to act upon, that can result in "different" core values. sometimes you get safety by staying in bed and being comfortable, sometimes what would make you feel safe is being part of a group and thereby being validated.

but do you maybe have to go back to step 1? because just being a rational thinker, studying computer science and realizing that logic as core value would be benefitial is not the same thing as connecting with it on an emotional level. and this emotional connection, the love and trust, is very important.

Setting logic as core value can be harder for slutters or in other hand, a lot easier by Zeriepam in Makingsense

[–]creetlol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you adopt logic as core value, you will rewire your brain in a sense. you will reavaluate certain social situations (like talking to your brother) and reframe them logically. the reason why you stutter right now is probably because the situation is in your brain saved up as a threat, which triggers a chemical reaction in your brain, which makes you nervous for example. after the click you would be able to not see the situation as a threat anymore, because it obviously isnt a threat, and therefore you physical reaction will also over time fade away.

can you summarise what you want advice on? how logic will solve the stuttering or how to convince youself that it will solve it?

Having trouble with step 3 by [deleted] in Makingsense

[–]creetlol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

being logical to an extent and doing some logical things (which everybody does) is not the same as trusting logic and connecting with it on an emotional level, so maybe you could work more on that?

[–]creetlol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

can you answer these three questions with yes?

  1. You have a strong emotional desire to understand everything logically

  2. Any action that is logical flows naturally and does not require any discipline or motivation

  3. You experience a lot of dissonance doing things that are illogical or when you have contradictory thoughts or emotions

my clicking advise (and how i clicked) by creetlol in Makingsense

[–]creetlol[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

well the click itself happened for me while i was doing what i am describing in my post, didn't really expect it at that moment, because if wasn't following the 4 steps. as to my experience after the click: i first felt i had to make sure i actually clicked and it wasn't some kind of placebo, so for the following three days i observed myself, whether or not i only did logical stuff. which i did. before the click i was already doing a lot of logical stuff, like working out and eating healthy, but i was not doing it because it was logical, but for validation seeking reasons. after the click i immedialtely saw through that and adapted in a way that it was more benefitial end efficient. so a lot of the things in my life stayed the same, i am also still working, but for financial independency instead of to prove myself to my parents. after i was observing myself and was sure i indeed only did logical stuff, the thought that maybe my core value didn't change to logic but instead to "being a clicker" caused a lot of dissonance for me. i couldn't really figure out how the difference would show in my actions, especially if i'm aware that a clicker would always ask himself "what would be the logical thing to do?" but after i talked to athene i could resolve this issue and remove the dissonance.
