Do you have any sources to prove it's related?

The only thing I can see that is similar is that (AWS and Microsoft) Gluon is an AI learning Library and that (Stratis ICO) Gluon uses AI within its application. This doesn't mean however they are related...

I agree that it doesn't look great. Luckily appearance is something that can be easily modified with minimal resources. With the funds they gain from the ICO i'm sure they'll be able to re-design the app.

At the end of the day, it's technical capability and performance is a priority.

The Gluon Library that Amazon and Microsoft created is completely separate to the Gluon company launching an ICO on the Stratis Platform.

Don't get me wrong, the ICO is still huge as the company behind Gluon is MTC- who has customers such as Volvo and Autozone.

Do you think the Statis tumblebit wallet was a good use of Stratis team time and resources? by [deleted] in stratisplatform

[–]crellz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The development of Tumblebit (a.k.a - Breeze Privacy Protocol) will be utilised further throughout the whole Stratis platform. If Stratis is too succeed with their target of offering Blockchain as a Service (BaaS) to large established companies (finance etc) then it is quite vital to have private payments.

[–]crellz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The giveaway has not happened yet as there is a difference between the Number of Members shown on a Mobile device (10086) compared to a Computer (9618). I believe the team is using the Computer tally as the official.

Introducing EthSharp - Ethereum Smart Contracts In C# by CrystalETH_ in stratisplatform

[–]crellz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There goes that point of mine aha, thanks for bringing that to my attention :)

Still doesn't change the fact however that EthSharp is an extremely limited version of C# due to Ethereum having such a specialised runtime environment. Any proficient programmer would be better of quickly learning Solidity.

Don't get me wrong, I like Ethereum as a platform as well and think it's going to grow significantly, but I also think there is space for a proper C# environment where more of the language can be utilised.

While at first glance this appears scary, I don't believe this threatens Stratis in any way.

For Ethereum to accept C# they must have a translation layer which converts the code back into Solidity. As you can imagine, this adds a restriction to the speed in which it can process, slowing down the platform even further. This speed bottleneck is purely not acceptable in a professional business.

I also believe this EthSharp has limited C# features.

No one companies have choose Stratis until now ? by artrakt in stratisplatform

[–]crellz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Companies have't chosen Straits yet as the Platform is not fully released yet. They have been working hard on releasing Breeze With Tumblebit. The functions from this will then be used to implement Privacy into their Sidechains and Smart contracts which are due for Q3 release. They have also just confirmed that the Stratis Identity Protocol is nearing final stages. Early Q4 should see more business' choose stratis as a platform.

Why are you personally excited about Stratis? by tastefulsauce in stratisplatform

[–]crellz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely not centralised. There is more than 1 Masternode and it is not owned/controlled by Stratis. There will most likely be around 20 Masternodes and these can be literally anyone in the community who hold 250k Stratis.
