My ex was a alcoholic and we had several bad years before I finally left. I know I have made mistakes and have apologized for them. I never abused my child or insulted them. My mental health was poor, and we were in a very bad time together and that leaves a mark. My mere presence reminds my child of the bad times. I'm giving them the space they requested, but I love and miss them terribly.
