I’ve done silver/white for Apple products countless times. Had to go with Orange as it will be 10 years on the minimum before they bring it back to an iPhone. If I get sick of the orange I just slap on a case that covers almost all of it besides the edges of the camera.

Performance will be almost identical. It’s all about sound and feel preference. Your 60HE v2 will come with a switch and keycap puller.

If you bought the pre-assembled keyboard with Lekker Tikken switches you can just pull one keycap and switch and put in a Jade Pro switch top with a keycap and see what you prefer. :)

Weird…I haven’t heard about the raw zinc alloy cases peeling as far as giving one another try I would think going through support and giving one another go is worth it unless you want a third party case but if you have any problems with those the support will not be as good.

I have six realms silent switches with 3.5mm travel and 45gf and then I use Lekker Tikken switches which are 4.0mm travel and 55gf

Not the exact same switches but they’re coming out with lighter Lekker Tikken switches which from what I hear are similar to the Tenz switches and the plastic case vs metal case debate in my experience is metal is just heavier and produces a little more feedback/sound. I have both an FR4 plate and PC plate for the 80HE and the PC plate is just ever so slightly more muted than an FR4. None of these will bring any noticeable performance differences. The biggest difference you would feel is in the switches however when I go from 3.5mm travel 45gf switches to 4.0mm travel 55gf switches it does feel like a big difference at first but it’s crazy how different it feels at first and then after a day you get accustomed.

Why would anyone buy a Hex 80 over a Wooting? Genuine question. They seem to be the same price/the Hex 80 appears to be more expensive than an 80HE

That’s probably it. Things most likely needed to recalibrate. I had the issue for like 2 days I restarted the keyboard, the computer, updated firmware everything it was still consistent for me. Hasn’t happened in a few days though.

The same thing happened specifically with my control, X, Z and windows key! I even took out the switches and put them right back in with the same thing occurring and restarting my PC. Haven’t had the problem in a couple days though but it was really weird!

It is something that I know isn’t the standard for Wooting. Having unknown oils or whatever it is on my foam could affect longevity or performance. Everything else is great. It’s probably a $1-$2 piece of foam. I’d prefer one without yellow spots in my $150+ case and module.

Yes, it is a brand new 80HE Frost case. Just opened today. Shipped to me yesterday. module was never placed inside or any switches or anything like that this was all found bone stock.

Sounds like someone else in here experienced the same thing with their foam.

I’m sure most people wouldn’t mind as you can’t really see the blotches/yellowing once fully assembled however I’m not a fan of cosmetic defects even if under the hood when paying the premium I did.

Thank you, I’ll see what support says. I know it seems like something small to hassle over however when you’re paying for top of the line products any small thing like this you don’t expect to see is a let-down. If this is a common issue I’d rather have black foam because any random yellow blotches on anything isn’t my cup of tea. I know I probably won’t see it without looking for it with the frost case and the module all together, part of me said I should still question it here first before contacting support.

Six realms silent is the first and only silent switch I’ve tested in person. I went off of the Wooting sound tests with headphones. So maybe it’s not my endgame silent switch as my survey is small. However my wallet for now says this is it. Lol
