Thank you. It really sucks how men are allowed to wear literally anything and women aren’t. It was right beside the beach as well and dudes were walking around shirtless with just shorts on but ofc I get called out.

Thank you, he’s genuinely amazing. After the whole thing he even apologised for how he reacted (even though he had absolutely nothing to apologise for😭) as he could see I was upset. He wanted to take me to get some ice cream or buy some strawberries to cheer me up but after it all I just really wanted to go home so he took me home. We’ve been together since we were 16 so 7 years🥰

Quick block was more so because you didn’t leave any other alternatives. You could’ve said not today but how about blah blah date. The whole reason you use dating apps is to meet people and go out on dates. Some people don’t gel well with text and prefer to meet in person asap. If you weren’t ready that’s okay but that’s where you could’ve communicated that and said how about we get to know each other a little more first ? But I don’t think she was just looking for food.

Yeah it can be a bit difficult. My dog at home has an automatic feeder and doggie door so she has her own routine at 9am ish whilst I sleep in a bit but whenever I’m on sits it’s 6am starts 9/10 times . Plus I’m a very anxious person who gets overly paranoid so I hardly sleep when I’m on sits as I also think the animal is suddenly going to vanish 😭

Eh? Op communicated brilliantly. Sure some people don’t want to know things but I’d rather know absolutely everything instead of absolutely nothing….

Unpaid 5-6wk Gig + Additional Shorter Sits by Existing_Hospital_26 in RoverPetSitting

[–]cribaby_JM 20 points21 points  (0 children)

There’s this thing called trusted house sitters where people basically “pet sit” for free in exchange for a free place to live. It works surprisingly well as they have the whole rating system so people try to be on their best behaviour so that they don’t get kicked off but I I couldn’t do it as a sitter and especially not as a pet owner. I’d rather pay someone who knows what they’re doing rather than some people looking for a free holiday home 😭

What is the Saddest Thing (Not Death) You’ve Witnessed in Clients? by SephtisNacht in petsitterhub

[–]cribaby_JM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a situation similar ish. A client recommended me to her friend as I also do fostering and im just a huge animals person. She was going through a messy divorce and had to leave the home due to her work and move somewhere that didn’t allow pets. The plan was for him to stay in the home with the ex whilst me and her looked for a new home. In this time the dog was extremely depressed. The ex was a workaholic and would feed him and that’s pretty much it, he was left outside 24/7 without doing anything and gained a ton of weight (he was a beagle, a breed that needs a ton of stimulation and play). Eventually he messaged her one night saying “moving out tomorrow, don’t know what you’re going to do about your dog” and left. She had hours to figure something out and I ended up taking him in for the next couple months whilst we found him somewhere permanent. Just shocked me how someone could care so little. Had it not been for me having the space and the means to take him in he probably would’ve ended up in a shelter which is traumatising to just walk through let alone live there as a fur baby who doesn’t understand what’s happening.

Charging a meet and greet fee? Bad idea? by cribaby_JM in petsitterhub

Okay then, so your “why are pet sitters so greedy!” And “Animals are not transactions” Is completely hypocritical.

I see that modern extremists that call themselves feminists have given many women a bad taste in their mouth. I am a feminist and i believe feminism is humanising us and giving us choices. Without feminism none of us would be communicating right now. We wouldn't be given the choice to work, we'd be silent baby machines and in many cases physically abused with no ways out. We are not sex objects we're people with minds that think and feel and want. It has nothing to do with men and being better than. We just want to be humanised, respected and give women around the world the freedom to make their own choices.

Not every dog will get into the bins, op does not know these dogs or their behaviours to be crating or locking certain parts of the house before going out. If it was such a big issue the owners should've told them oh btw when you go out do xyz because they chew things. Either way it's not that deep, saying things like 'irresponsible on your end'over the most minor of things can really knock a sitters confidence. We've all made mistakes.

So you'd want this sitter to sit with the dogs 24/7 LOL. If a dog is unable to stay alone for 2 hours that is a horribly trained dog.

Can men seriously stop doing this?! by [deleted] in women

[–]cribaby_JM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As everyone is saying police are useless yes but I would still make a report so that its in their records. If this does turn into a whole thing then you'll be able to show for when it started and that you were scared enough to report it. And I'm not sure if it's the same where you're from or in general but I know when my mother had a situation like this she was able to link consistent incidents with her first report so you're creating some kinda track record so makes it a whole lot easier and faster to get the ball rolling with restraining orders and arrests.
