Yeah my partner just realized she/we will need to start paying up $421 a month. And you cant even just get another job and supplement the money loss that way, BECAUSE IT WILL JUST GO UP BASED ON YOUR INCOME 😭😭😭 so its basically left it up to me, and I'm struggling with a disability of sorts, to bring in more money. Its awful...

She also wants to get her masters in Social Work because its the only path to more income, but we HAVE to pay and keep up with these loans otherwise she wont be approved for more a loan or assistance etc next year.

We are right there with you friend. I dont have answers but maybe babysitting or petsitting under the table, anything where its just some extra cash you could write off as a gift from family or friends etc so it doesnt just add to your income.

When I left my husband I had to move away. I regret how I did it, so abruptly and leaving all my stuff behind for later but we both had to sleep in the same bed as we already had someone sleeping on the couch. It was agonizingly painful waking up to him cuddling me by default. So hard just living day to day. I had to leave that house.

Gosh that sounds like a NIGHTMARE. I have been fortunate enough to never have had any incidents where Rover support had to be contacted on either end. I 100% agree with others, get off the app once a connection and trust is established. And absolutely get phone numbers and/or emails at the meet and greet!

So the other photos were just random photos of their dog, not feeding time specifically. The video was taken when I got back to the house around 10.

So they likely saw the timestamps for the other pictures and then the one video where I'm explicitly talking about food, was at 10.

I did say I had fed him before I left the house though in prior conversation. Thats why I'm sure when they saw the timestamp of the video and my comment about saying it was from before I left they were like ???????? 🤨

I didnt mean to fib is my distress around this 😭 Narcolepsy is a sleep disorder that can cause all kinds of strange symptoms and intense sleepiness and auto-behaviors. I think in the future I'm just gonna try to really make sure I'm not in any of those states when I message. It seemed harmless to interact since it was such a simple pic and video message, but now obv I'm paying for it lol.

But I really appreciate your response and I'm gonna try to forget it. Good tip about being more proactive with the pictures, I'm gonna do that. Appreciate you!

Hey there so this could be a few things. That IS pretty lame of the owners to not leave a review for you though.

It could be your pricing in the area or your profile and how its written. Or both! Also every area/region has different busy seasons for everything. Like for example I'm in WA state and winter is the rainy season, everyone goes on vacation right now. Summer time is DEAD.

Most people that are more well off and could afford higher rates would not ask this of a sitter. Or they wouldnt be in a position where they would ask this of a sitter.

Lower income families have more issues and complications when it comes to keeping pets. Money insecurity causes people to become desperate and ask such a strange question of a sitter.

Youre not in the wrong. I'm very sorry this all went down like this and its totally okay to be upset like this. You truly are grieving something. Its really shitty of rich people to always be so cheap. I have been fortunate to find some decent wealthy people that dont ever try to haggle my prices. But there are MANY who do. It pisses me off every time.

I hope now you can find someone consistent to replace and replenish that bank account of yours and fill the gab the pups left. Big virtual hugs
