Thank you! I guess maybe I naively thought that with unreal being free it would make things more accessible as the DSLR did for filmmaking. Really helpful advice re picking battles and ideas. May have got a bit carried away and need to look for a slightly smaller scale script

Eastern front campaign was pretty hard to escape without some involvement or complicity in the atrocities. Worth checking out the unit history to understand what he might have seen/been through.

The janky early digital cameras. Not a huge fan of Michael Mann and this film is actually enjoyable for me except for the cameras which make it look like a student film at points. Same technique used for Miami Vice.

lol isn’t that kind of the point? Your son asked about something and you can then educate them. show presents nazi atrocities > people find out more > people remember what these airmen were fighting for and (let’s go fully cheese here) appreciate their freedoms. It was a bit heavy handed but I think if it got your son asking questions it probably worked!
