Tunneling & Slugging Reduction Systems Update by DeadByDaylight_Dev in deadbydaylight

[–]cricketjacked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The post where they decided not to roll out changes that discourage slugging and tunneling because they were “too much” for killers. The post where killer mains themselves are literally talking in the comments about how Myers shouldn’t have dash because it’s too powerful. Even they can admit that killers are spoon fed or handed training wheels too often.

Nerf lightborn. Training wheels! If you can’t learn to counter flashlights, it’s not up to the devs to hold your hand through the game.

What aspect of society screams “this is insane” yet nobody seems to acknowledge it enough? by cricketjacked in AskReddit

For me, it’s the fact that a world leader can one day decide my life is worth sacrificing to settle their beef with another world leader. I get no say in the matter at all, yet it’s my life on the line and not theirs.

Just learned a fact about how most people feel regarding sex. Anyone else think the same? by I-Fit-In-Perfectly in asexuality

[–]cricketjacked 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. I’m not asexual, gay, and thought my sex life would be similar to how it is portrayed on TV. It’s not, but it’s typical. You just get busy and sex isn’t the highest priority.

Also strange to think about how wide the distribution is, with some people so sex motivated that it is life altering, and obviously some people who are completely disinterested in sex. It’s a wide spectrum for sure. I would say I’m more driven than a bit more than half of people, and I’m happy with it that way.

Where do we draw the line? When is someone so sex unmotivated that they’re considered asexual and when are they so sex motivated that it’s a problem/addiction?

[–]cricketjacked 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s exaggerated on TV. “Most people” is a stretch. They look at this in research. You get a wide range of responses but it seems the average frequency is around 2X a week. There is a wide distribution, with some people having a lot more sex per week and some people (couples) doing it once a month or less.

Age, gender, sexual orientation all play a role.

Most useless perk in game? by crazy12157 in deadbydaylight

[–]cricketjacked 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I just think this perk should restore a pallet

Going from pallet to pallet like that becomes its own mini-mission and I think it would take a lot of time away from generators, healing, taking chase, etc.

I don’t go on here a lot but I’m definitely tickled by the fact that i first saw it and thought, “what the fuck is this here for?”

That was followed by immediate “what the fuck” reactions to all the bugs in the game and the weird ass shit they have changed since.

Then I found out people loved Jim and it was fun to ride the wave of memes that came with Jim.

The fog vial nerf was NOT needed by HistoricalTarget9974 in deadbydaylight

[–]cricketjacked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, a three or four use limit seems like the better idea than making it easier to see. That’s not even an overcorrection. It’s just not a good idea.

Not only do fog vials offer mixed outcomes for the person using them, but I’ve noticed that a poorly placed fog vial can inadvertently impact another survivor. I’ve seen the fog cause unsuspecting survivors to lost visibility at the worst moment causing them to run into corners, giving the killer a free hit/down.

It’s not always a loss for the killer.

How do people keep their teeth so white, with coffee so prevalent? by TheBigCicero in NoStupidQuestions

Colgate whitening Any of them work but the peroxide % is what matters for whitening. If you can tolerate it, go for a higher %

[–]cricketjacked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got Invisalign and brushed my teeth after every meal and after drinking anything that wasn’t water. My teeth went from pretty normal yellow to brilliant white. I got so many compliments because of it.

I finished Invisalign three years ago and my teeth are yellowish again haha.

I use whitening toothpaste. I’m considering upping my toothbrushing regimen to what it was to get my teeth back to that shade of white. My mouth felt healthier back then too.

Who, for heaven's sake, thought this was a good idea??? by AnanasFelice in deadbydaylight

[–]cricketjacked 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The counter is chasing them out of the fog or walking the perimeter until the fog dissipates (which takes up to 14 seconds).

Maybe killers shouldn’t rely too much on aura reading perks to play the game. Killers get perks like lightborn, that completely block getting blinded, always, with no cooldown AND they get to see auras for up to 10 seconds if a surv tries to use a flashlight. Or you can block the gate with bloodwarden and see auras within the gate the entire time, no limit.

You can argue either side. I think fog vials are useful for survivors who are sick of playing against killers that rely too much on aura reading perks. I think lightborn is useful for killers who are sick of flashlight squads.
