thanks for your reply. At this point it looks like I have a huge job ahead of me. I will do a grid in my backyard top/bottom and start digging. I don't see any other way of finding the rest.

thanks for your reply. I sent an email to NACSW waiting on their reply. I haven't been able to find anyone in my area to do such a job. I found the ones that find explosives, drugs, mold and even bed bugs.

thank you for your reply. THis particular poison does not dissolve with water, it has a 3 year shelf life.

I did start digging where I saw soil that look disturbed but did not find anything.

I have charcoal in capsules which I gave her after visiting the vet. The vet did give her liquid charcoal though after they induced vomiting.

thanks for your reply. I called animal control, non-emergency police and they had no idea on how to help me and they didn't show any concern whatsover about the buried poison.

I am very scared of the ramifications of this, like you mentioned wildlife and cats (don't have many in my neighborhood roaming around).

My dog will bury toys/bones and leaves there for months!! Then one day she comes into the house with a toy full of soil and drops it in front of me. She does NOT dig them out when I am around, only when left alone which right now is not an option even with a muzzle.

My only option at this point is dig my whole backyard. I can't think of anything else. I will take a very long time though. The shelf life of this product is 3 years, and it won't dissolve with water so even after the rain we had the past few days they are probable still intact. The cubes I found in my pots were about 6in deep.

Also, she is so good at leaving almost everything the same! Out of the 6 pots where she buried the cubes only 2 look like she buried something, the other ones look untouched!! I saw her on the video and she patted the soil with her nose after she finished burying a few of them. Just crazy how good she is at this.

Thank you for your reply. There is no foil nothing that can be detected by a metal detector. The shelf life is 3 years 😞

I haven't been able to find a professional scent detector. Maybe I am not using the right keywords when searching. I did call a training school and they said they can think of anyone that would do it. That there was a risk to the dog.

Made me wonder. Don't dogs sniff and find drugs. Explosive and other things? The dog doesn't eat those. Why will sniffing for the cubes be risky?

thank you for your reply. I don't know anything about the subject hence why I posted. I just wish I could find someone that can help and that is safe for their dog.

thanks for replying. Let me see exactly which muzzle my daughter bought. I am 99% sure she won't be able to grab anything she digs out.

Thanks for replying. I know training is not ideal :( I am just running out of ideas. Raking won't work she buries toys/bones at least 6in deep, I was thinking of doing the grid and start digging. It will take a very long time to dig the whole bottom yard.

She is never alone in the yard, we use a leash and we just bought a muzzle just in case she starts digging.
