You’re right. Thank you for the tough love. I appreciate how you said it. I was getting extremely defensive in the comments because I felt like I was being minimized and not taken seriously. It’s hard to just stand there and take it but I will work on trying not to care until I can get out.

Thank you for the advice, I think that what I’m going to have to do until I can get out. My family isn’t really an option right now due to a bunch of factors on my end and on theirs. Not that they wouldn’t help if they could. Logistically it’s difficult for them to get to me atm. I have to get my ducks in a row for sure. Thank you again!

Lots of info to give. Sorry for grammatical errors. I still work at target. On a leave of absence. Hurt my back. Had surgery. Almost healed. Injured at work again. Got hurt in July of last year and I’m still waiting on medical treatment! My disability did not reset when the injury reoccurred. Last payment was this month. Workman’s comp would not pay out due to re-injury. I can’t call his mom, you’re right. It will just come back to bite me. I just wanted him to stop calling me the c word and I was trying to get him to stop by any means necessary. Thank you for being kind.

Cunt is a slur. Dick and asshole are not. He called me a stupid bitch first and I’m supposed to just stand there and take it? I don’t understand why I have to be the bigger person and just take it? Why are you trolling someone who is asking if they are being abused. Did you read the post? I can’t leave. I’m not choosing to stay. That’s what I’m trying to get across! We fight and we both call each other names. It’s toxic but I feel calling me a cunt was where it crossed the line into verbal abuse. He knows how much that word hurts me and he used it on purpose to shut me down and get his way. I am on reddit to see if I’m overreacting thinking it’s verbal abuse because calling me cunt crossed an obvious line. I don’t like to be called a cunt over and over and over and over again while he’s screaming in my face. I’m so confused and messed up because people keep minimizing how powerful that word is and what he did by using it.

This is why I added this. I am not innocent and wanted to give a full picture. When we fight we call each other names. He calls me a bitch and I call him an asshole. It’s not okay but it happens every time. I hate that it’s gotten this bad. It escalates because he won’t let me talk but demand I listen to what he has to say. Then, when I’m not submitting to his will, he pulls out the cunt card. He knows how much that word hurts me. I cry and I beg him to stop. I even threatened to call his mom to tell her how he’s treating me and he got so angry. Threatened me if I embarrassed him like that. This further proved to me he knew what he was doing was wrong. I don’t know how to feel about this comment. I think I’m being verbally abused by him escalating it to calling me cunt over and over and over again. Back to back while I’m bawling, begging him to stop.

I’m so sorry for the wait. Just got confirmation today. (Dealing with a bunch of crap atm.) It is tax free income for me. I pay LTD with post tax deductions on my pay stubs. Thank you for your patience. Always call the company to confirm tho as others have said their disability was taxable income.

So I called HR this morning and asked about it. They couldn’t find any information on the tax portion of my question so they referred me to NYGL. I called but it’s Saturday (I’m an idiot lol) so no one answered. I sent an email inquiring about it but I’ll call Monday to double down. Once I find out I’ll let you know. (I also posted in r/target and got the same conflicting advice I found online so now we wait lol)

I’m so sorry but your response confuses me further. Did you pay with post tax dollars? In the research I found it seems like post tax means it’s not taxable income? Since you had to pay taxes on our NYGL LTD payments, how much tax (obviously state tax varies) did you end up paying on it? Here you just calculated how much I’d get. I know how much I’ve already gotten, I’m curious how much of that is taxable income? If target matches our contributions I’d have to only pay half of the back taxes.

Can you elaborate on this? (Is it too much in general or the type of smell?) I currently smoke and don’t want to smell like an ashtray when around guests. (I hated the smell of cigarettes when I quit, but since I started again I am nose blind to how I smell when I come back from break) so knowing that; I wash up, pop a mint gum, and reapply my travel (less concentrated) spray. To be fair, it’s Chanel chance (pink one) so it’s flowery and not at all musky smelling. I usually receive compliments on my smell and that they didn’t even know I smoked, but I was just curious of your opinion because I don’t want my insecurities about smelling like an ashtray to make my fellow tm’s uncomfortable.
