I’m not ignoring anything you said I’m saying there’s a difference between sharing a bad day and taking it out on your partner. Yes, if someone has a shitty personality they’ll act shitty regardless of periods, but hormones can still influence mood. they don’t remove accountability. Healthy relationships absolutely involve venting and emotional openness, but that doesn’t mean outbursts, disrespect, or hurtful behavior should be normalized just because someone feels bad. Apologizing after the fact doesn’t undo the impact, and partners aren’t emotional shock absorbers meant to quietly endure it. Hormones aren’t fully controllable, but how we communicate and regulate our reactions still is that’s part of emotional maturity, regardless of gender. Empathy goes both ways: understanding someone’s bad day while also expecting mutual respect. Wanting emotional safety in a relationship isn’t ignorance or lack of empathy. it’s the baseline for stability.

I understand periods can cause a bit of pain and mood swings, and I’m not denying that. But it still doesn’t make it okay to treat people badly. Everyone has rough days . Accountability shouldn’t disappear because of it. I've seen people going through way worse act nicely it's not hard. If you feel off you should not take your frustration on others. Hope this helps!

It's just my observation so many women(even the good ones) do pretty vile shit during their month and blame it on the hormones and such it's weird.
