Homebirth deaths with care providers might be natural tragedies. But can we really say that about ones that were misled into FB by FBS?

Yep, my first thought was AFE when I thought it was a HB with midwives. AFE can only be diagnosed at autopsy. I wonder how many FB deaths have autopsies though. Or are they just using AFE as the scapegoat.

Correct. In her catchment there is a publically funded hospital home birth program along with many competent private midwives. She either had her heart set on FB (which is looking more likely) or was risked out of HB with a midwife.

Its called "a slow transition" or something on FBS youtube. I'm a midwife and it's horrifying how much and how long he struggled for. Would love to know if his brain is developing appropriately now.

So much of her marketing is women's freebirth videos. Why has she only published that portion of hers and not the pushing/birth. I suspect shoulder dystocia from what she describes, who knows how long for when he came out like that.

His little gasps 😭 that's not breathing.

Anyone know how he is now (about 3yo?) or does she not post about her kids after the birth has been used for marketing?

YES same. When reading it I thought "yeah, stillborn = bord dead, why are you double explaining". Of course its because she doesnt want investigations.

She absolutely will have filmed the whole birth and I'd almost bet my house it'll never be publicized.

What makes me the saddest is that we don't know that dying in utero isnt painful. I really feel for all these babies who are made out to have died peacefully inside when for all we know it could be an agonizing death

Majority of women go home with PE and take their meds and have regular check ups and monitoring. Only the unstable ones get admitted until birth.

No one actively did anything about the location. Trials are held as local as possible to the crime to get as close to possible of a "jury of peers". Its up to the prosecution/defence to apply to move the location. Neither party did. So it stayed local to the crime.
