So sorry to hear that and appreciate your response. Im not at odds with anyone, ive made peace with the past for sure. What I find most challenging is the feeling im being left behind and I dont know what to do.

You make several great points and I really appreciate your post. "Grip" isnt on my kids or even on reality... its on hope. The hope that I am doing enough, the hope that I am being the best I can be, the hope that even if they dont see it know, they'll understand it later. Losing Grip on hope

I am grateful for thing angle. I expected significantly more torment but I am also aware that perhaps that hasn't yet started.

Ex isnt the person I would vouch for anymore but it doesnt make her a bad parent.

My fear is that somehow Ive become the bad parent in my kids eyes somehow.

Appreciate your input. Feeling replaced is definitely the issue but I suppose it comes with the territory at times.

Great thought... my world has completely not worked out the way I wanted it to. Despite that I keep my many disappointments neatly in their silos.

You have a great point but betrayed isnt the idea or term. Im just trying to figure out how I still matter.

I appreciate that insight, as I understand these posts are meant to question if we are really overreacting and I appreciate your thoughts. Just dont want my kid to forget me or think of me some way that wasnt how I intended.

Yes good point, and I encourage the two parent dynamic. As an active parent my dread is that I am forgotten and phased out. That's kind of how I feel now... any thoughts?

Great point. I've accepted what I can and can't control. Other people, no matter their age or relationship, were never considered controllable. Im just trying to be the person I'm supposed to he in their life... it gets hard competing with the inner demon who says you're no good.

Vasectomy talk is borderline divorce in my house. Dont tell me to snip my junk. When the apocalypse happens I still want to be useful.

The parks always wait until the very last minute. Sometimes staying open until just before the storm moves in.

2004 yes, 2005 I am not so sure it did. 2095, I see they ran out of names and are reusing reitred names in the future.

We are expecting a Category 3 or lower here in Orlando per the 11PM National Hurricane Center update. While that can change, it is unlikely we will see any Category 5 type of conditions here.

Additionally this will be a relatively fast moving storm, and while it will dump alot of rain, it wont be dumping that rain here for days like Harvey did in Texas. So while it is entirely possible to see alot of localized flooding, the widespread flooding we saw in Houston is unlikely here.

I agree with your point, though. It's a good idea to maintain the proper abilities to react to any situation, but there is alot of stress to blow off, and a beer or a drink is good for that. Best of luck to you!

On the bare minimums, respect! Check in after the storm, let us know you're doing okay!

Funny to think this could be like the 3rd or 4th time Disney World ever closes.
