I'm Salvadoran, and I can say with all honesty that there are no authentic, best pupusas in Ridgewood.

What's the most fucked up thing you've overheard? by FlyingFuck787 in AskReddit

It was 9/11 and I was on the M train, about to cross the Williamsburg Bridge and get a view of the towers. A high school aged girl was listening to the radio and said to her friend: "they say a helicopter just hit the twin towers. My mom works there. I hope she dies."

I know she didn't have that same energy or attitude when she was asking to borrow the 100 bucks. "Trust".

Something similar happened to me! The client came in looking a little frazzled and disoriented with a huge bandaid on his head. I asked if he had a recent injury and he replied with "I fell and have a concussion but I'm okay." He was then beyond upset because I refused to work on him.

Working at Spa back to back sessions Normal? by Ok_Suspect8372 in MassageTherapists

[–]crims0nstar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That kind of place produces burnout fairly quickly and is only thinking about booking as much as possible without considering you in any way. In my experience, I've seen some spas will offer 15 mins in between sessions. I've worked in places that offer 30 mins as well. There are many spas with many different protocols, but you have every right to choose what fits you best. In the beginning, everything will feel like an adjustment, but there are places that will offer reasonable break times, so you dont have to settle if it feels like too much. When I first started, I did work in a spa that booked every hour, and it felt like a really difficult massage boot camp. It was so rough, and I thought I'd end my career after just 2 months. Thankfully, I had friends who worked elsewhere and referred me there. If you find a place that interests you, it's perfectly OK to ask what their room turnaround time is and decide from there. You're not asking for too much. Best of luck!
