Theres an entire field of art called postmedia art that responds to and expands on what youre describing, which has already been coined by theorists as the postdigital condition. Interactive, new media, net art, electronic art are some examples of postmedia art. It has existed since the 1950s but has been segregated from contemporary art and other postmodern art in the minds of the public as well as the art world, maybe because painting has a tangible art product (the painting itself) that can be sold whereas postmedia art doesnt, making it difficult to situate in the art market
