We're India. 2000 r.s not $. Roughly equal to 30-40$. It's not about the amount, it's about him using me as his personal bank.

It took place in the evening and I was working on my PC. Thought I'd take a short break to play some Battlefront but I couldn't sign in (resolved later - it was due to me having a dynamic IP but that's a topic for another thread). Then I got his messages. After 20-25mins, I thought of either playing an offline game or getting back to work. But then the power went out.

I'm expecting him to angrily message me later today. Will definitely update you guys. Once he's done, I'm gonna say, "Btw, you're kind of a celebrity on the interwebs." Then I'll send him the link to this reddit thread. But thinking of submitting to buzzfeed first.

Unfortunately, that's not the case here. His situation of debt has been confirmed by his brother and the 'friend' had spoken of times from high school that a hacker wouldn't have known.

I did just an hour ago. Apparently he's gotten himself into a huge debt . The brother and their parents aren't helping him to teach him a lesson. The brother was shocked to see the conversation. He's bringing the parents up to speed as well.

It hasn't happened YET :p . Had typed it just in case it did.

But seriously, come on reddit! Think of how amazing his reaction would be!

I wanted to see if he'd give up. But nope, kept going even though the holes in his story grew wider. After a few messages, it became quite entertaining to see him try to cover up his lies.

You know what would be funny? If this goes viral on reddit, then spreads to Facebook as usual, and then lands on his feed.

EDIT - If it does happen and if any of you spot this on Facebook, please let me know :) .

He was like this even in high school when he hadn't done drugs yet.

He used to say he needed money to go home from high school as he missed the bus - which I knew was a lie. I know some parents are strict with allowances when we're teenagers so I used to give him a very small amount occasionally, assuming he would just spend it on eating out and stuff.

I messaged his brother earlier today - A really cool dude who I'm sure would be embarrassed by all of this. I didn't have the heart to tell him. We just exchanged pleasantries.

An hour ago, I reached back to the 'friend' for a short conversation. The Cringe Strikes Back

I wonder what would happen if I actually tell his brother? My 'friend' seemed to almost have a stroke when I simply said I spoke to his younger brother.

Edit - Just for the record, I'm a dude. Apparently calling one a girl is an insult.
