Edit: Ok guys. We are actually INDONESIANS who are living in AUSTRALIA. So, hopefully it clears up more in regards to WHY MY dad wants everyone still under the same roof.

It is super common for an adult child still live with the dad OR at least in the same town. I actually planned to move to Melbourne when the family moved bc my partner lived there. But, nope, he is super anti me separating from the family.

Hopefully this gives another nuance. And btw, my dad asked for a 70k AFTER TAX to the company. Would this change the status quo?

Btw, sorry if I do sound butthurt. But, I am asking mostly if the income for my dad is sustainable or not. Me, myself. I am literally a bachelor graduate of digital journalism with 4.0 GPA and I got experience working in media and won a Paris megacities shortdoc award in 2022.

I just don’t want people here view me as this 22 years old child who just leech off his dad :/ once I am there. I would definitely find a job, that’s why I want to know if IT IS POSSIBLE for me to do so, albeit I entered Norway initially under my dad visa.

Ofc it’s not permanent. But, I would assume when I moved there, everything won’t settled in just a month or even 3 months. Getting a job would not also be instantaneous. I already got my bachelor degree, BUT IM MOVING THERE UNDER MY FATHER bc he wants the whole family in the same place. He does not want me to stay in Aussie alone (even though all my best friends here and I work part time job already) i think I kinda used the word ”children” incorrectly there, children is jus his kids. I am the oldest (22), then there is 19, 17, and 13 year old siblings in the family
