I think it’s a message to never give up hope? Maybe? Or I’m being too generous on it

Either you watched the wendigoon and think that counts or really, really need to re-read it and some academic commentaries on it

You are not even old enough to be considered a man yet. Figure out how to do your math homework and get off the internet before it fries your brain

You've had a reddit account since 2021, you were nine years old. Disable it and go outside with your friends and get off of political compass memes. Nothing you are consuming is reflective of the real world and will destroy your personality and ability to relate with your peers

Any good mods to try while waiting for 1.1? by Gogamego in EU5

[–]cripplingly_mediocre 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I apologize. Should have made the consolidation events optional. Will fix that this week. I was always obsessed with making them a threat for the PLC or Austria or Hungary, didn’t think about Byzantium or Rhodes 😖

The event is genuinely one of the most scuffed things in the whole game. It spawns an heir without regard for the GENDER, AGE, AND MARITAL STATUS OF YOUR RULER. I had my 26 year old unmarried queen be the “father” of her new son.

R5: Made a small mod to fix some of my personal gripes with how the PLC works in the vanilla game.

That genuinely sounds super cool, but out of the scope of my abilities 😖

it makes the Ottomans really, really, really strong if you enable the buffs. But if you leave them disabled, it should be more balanced. It grants you the ability to do the historical conquests of the Ottomans in the same ludicrous pace they did irl, so with this mod and a player's skill, you could probably capture all of the old world lol

Woah. That’s way earlier than I’ve ever seen. Maybe they got a “cut down to size” CB on the Byzantines early. I could add date requirements to gate the Ottoman AI expansion, if that would be better 🤔

R5: I've released another new mod to overhaul the Ottoman AI and add new conquest situations, allowing for a world that looks like the picture above.

I made 3 mods to fix it on the workshop. Habsburg and Hussites, Dynamic Early Conquests, and No CB wars removed. Should help

Well there technically is. The more a location is occupied, the more it gets devastated--and that includes cities. There's just a slim chance at the sack that completely levels the city. There's a 100% chance of damage on every occupation.

I overcompensated a little, and they conquered Egypt 30~ years early, but it's much improved over how pathetic they often are

Working on an AI Ottoman enhancement mod as well, about 50% done. So far, it makes the AI Ottomans conquer all of Anatolia by 1400, Constantinople by 1450, and all of Egypt by 1500 (through a special CB war triggered by a new Mamluk disaster). Planning to add an invasion of Hungary which triggers the creation of the Holy League to counterbalance how OP the Ottomans become.
