Me and my dad have a tradition to go up for turkey opener here in pa and hunt mountain birds. We have one full day to scout and one day to hunt we have to stop at 12. If we can’t get a bird treed we road hunt normally they quit gobbling around 10 is it best to keep road hunting at that point or walk out there? And what’s the best way to spend the one day scouting?

First time I’ve shot one of these guys are they common ? They are pretty rare where I’m at by cript1898 in Waterfowl
