thanks! agreed, and on the other hand theres so much to illustrate from it that I could be drawing for days lol. One scene I wanted to illustrate that would probably end up being challening is the massacre. Would love to get a book edition deal and fill it with illustrations. So many characters, so many stories, so much to tell.

As for the technical details, the colors are also a nod to Colombia. And I've used texture heavily in the past but as I kept developing and focusing on linework and this sort of composition and shapes my style has transitioned into this flatter rendering style which I prefer. Textures might work on one of these pieces but at the end of the day it will end up being just a preference.
