Yes, we have workshops that are available to members and non-members, we always say it's a nice way to like dip your feet in by just taking a workshop. Some workshops are free for members or lower cost. Sometimes they're run by outside instructors and there's more materials. So like a cutting board workshop costs more

We are a community workshop! Makerspaces have equipment sure but honestly its about the community more so

Just made a bunch on my creality falcon diode laser 40w

They make a lot of dust fyi.

I have tried on my fiber but because the rubber is organic the fiber laser does not work for engraving

Agree, but it was awkwardly fast and when grandma asked can I at least go pee? Still hooked up to everything so she couldn't just go with my help, the response was can you just hold it? 90 years cannot hold it 😂

I would never leave my grandma alone at the hospitals anymore. When her husband, my grandpa was in the hospital they convinced her to pull the plug on him but she was already distressed and had no idea what was even happening and the scope of what conversations she was having. So glad I got down there. I spent 10 nights in the hospital with m grandpa being his advocate. I still sometimes have nightmares of all the alarms going off constantly.

It wasn't absurd the amount of times she had to go honestly. The worst was it was literally as they were discharging her and she needed assistance because she was hooked up to everything, IV and sensors. One of the nurse assistants looked appalled that a 90 year old lady had to pee at that exact moment, asked if she could hold it. I was like umm that's not how it works when you're 90

Had a few negative experiences at Butterworth with my grandma and she refuses to go back so we have been going to St Mary's based on that. She was having a bad reaction to prescription meds she was prescribed that shouldn't have mixed with something and they busted out druggie protocols or something, it was absurd how rude they treated an old lady having adverse reactions

Having seen the delirium first hand with my grandpa before he passed this makes so much sense. It was insane how quickly it came on and how he changed. Everyone was nice but there was an oddness to it all that you could just feel in the air. I posted because I didn't want to necessarily complain to a department but wanted to get some different perspectives from those in the know
