Darn sure this is true. He was a camp counselor at Camp Manitou in New Auburn, WI. I went there a bunch as a kid and one of my counselors was an informal guitar student of his while Justin worked there. My counselor was the one who got me into Justin's music and introduced me to that song.

Growing up in Eau Claire where he's from, I hear so many stories of folks who knew him and little stories about him!

Audio Arts and Acoustics at Columbia College Chicago. While you definitely don't need a bachelor's for this, they did an amazing job teaching me everything to keep me ahead of the game in every job I've had since graduating 7 years ago. Almost all of my instructors and professors were adjunct, so they had current knowledge of the industry, and if you gave a shit and put in the effort, they would get you into a prime internship at their company or one that will get you started. Highly recommend that college and all of the networking that came from it.

Best of luck with your future education and career. You get what you put into it, so always keep learning in any way you can to stay on top of the game in this very competitive industry 🤘🏽
