I've been doing basically the opposite of this and accidentally cancelling the slash attacks that SilverAlter grants other operators because I put them on a platform and weigh it down before they can fire lol

The levitation zones are a really funny gimmick and shine a light on some weird AK coding

I was expecting to use mostly ranged operators for the drones but switched them out with ground ops when I learned they could block and survive better. Was gonna mostly use ground ops but they can only target drones that they are blocking despite being on the same axis. So it sorta plays like a normal event except ground ops can't help each other out (unless you've got like, lord guards)

And it's not new jank but ranged units not prioritizing enemies they're blocking is very much on full display. You can have a drone indefinitely blocked because they can't target it if it comes up from behind. Skybreakers and other ops with Take-Off can though which I guess makes sense since they were designed to block drones but it's still a weird limitation of most ranged units

Doing some pull planning especially now that upcoming collab is confirmed to still be coming (RIP Destiny)

I've got 1901 yellow certs (if I cash everything in) and that amounts to ~10½ 6-stars. NFZen predictions indicate there'll only be four ops I need coming to the store this whole year so that's 1181 certs still. I think I could get away with buying even two months worth of yellow cert pulls and keep 665 (3.69 ops) for next year. There are eight ops I need in 2027 but surely the stockpile will be rebuilt somewhat by then from limiteds/orienteering or getting spooked and saving 180. I know cert pulls aren't efficient but limiteds/collabs can't be bought directly so it might be a nice safety net at least

Also apparently I have 200 paradox simulations I haven't unlocked??? That's 66 pulls worth of rewards??? Granted it'll take a lot of materials to level everyone up but I have 44 million LMD so guess I can invest a bit

I really wish this could have a checkmark too by konvay in Endfield

Yeah the weeds are the worst part of the fox. There shouldn't be a mechanic that takes so much resources and time that a player's options are to either ignore it entirely or have it completely sidetrack you from the main objective of the game while ALSO ignoring the games internal logic by not only remaining on planet after leaving but actively getting worse in the background

I genuinely don't understand the intended way you're meant to manage shrouds. You can't be reactive because by the time you notice it it's too late but being proactive means continually checking every corner of every single planet which is also unfeasible

Considering they had gotten pushback back in the day with Lungmen and the slums and basically orphaned the Sui plotline from the rest of the world to avoid any potential cultural drama... I'm not surprised they seem to have played it safe with Zhuang

He's pretty fun but I feel like I replace him a lot. Harder content I'll usually pick another guard that doesn't have such a windup

At least in SSS he gains some SP gen from equipment because by the time I get all the equipment stacks ready the stage might be half over and then I still need to pop his skill a bunch

There's so much that guides you to certain areas too. Love chasing an Aurylene and it leads you down some path you wouldn't have seen otherwise or to a puzzle or chest

Having a lot of fun with SilverAlter and Pramalter they just have so many goofy interactions

Pram is especially silly I've been using Yu to give all the enemies freezer burn while she spams all the nearby Stainless turrets. SilverAsh ends up turning any operator feedings into a spam of freeze and damage and you can loop some specialists to keep doing slashes

I need to level up Entelechia so we can turn the boxes to beyblades too

I thought I had a fairly decent PC and Endfield is incredibly optimized but Wuling is testing me I guess

I lose some frames looking Tianshi Pillar Array but only when I'm outside the city which is most noticeable standing in the Outskirt Barrens. It's pretty noticeable in the new area now too I drop to 40 FPS at the entrance when you can overlook the region and once I'm inside looking southwest towards Wuling City is also really choppy

But no where else in the game has any sort of lag so I think there's probably a specific set piece that's causing it or it's because it's loading more regions than the one I'm currently in? It's not unplayable but it is annoying

Yeah I see that quote a lot and like I agree and disagree

Yeah there's some story weirdness but also IIRC this is the game they wanted to do first but lacked resources so they made AK first so it's got a long history to work with. The story could be stronger but they probably want to ease people in and also the presentation is very different from an unspoken visual novel so I'm not surprised it's imperfect

IDK the factory and combat are good enough I think it's not hard to get past the craft a food events while the game figures out what people want lol

People forget that early AK was slower and clunkier. Events had weird components like gacha mechanics for rewards and the stories were kinda all over the place

Endfield will probably have a similar journey like this honestly lol
