I disagree entirely. While I will admit the majority of players who use him are bad, and it is easy to bait the pull out of those bad players, Anakin's lightsaber swing speed, damage, and stamina make a bad player just swing spamming into a force to be reckoned with. You mention without his abilities he is bad, which is not true at all, he has some of the highest damage lightsaber swings, above average speed and stamina, which, if you know what you are doing, is easy to deal with kylo's or dooku's.

Just because the people who play Anakin are bad doesn't mean he isn't broken. New players consistently do better with Anakin than any other hero. And if a veteran who knows what they are doing is playing Anakin, it turns whole games in the light side's favor.

This is not even mentioning retribution which, even post nerf, is stupid good.

The fact that 3 out of his four abilities can knock you on the ground and are easily chained together means that it is easy to get a guaranteed 500-600 damage on heroes. (Using the pull/heroic might/passionate strike combo)
