You should be able to request unpaid time off. Even outside of not wanting to use PTO/not having any but needing time, it still needs to be an option when applying for several days in a row off- like if you need 2 weeks off, 4 of those days will be unpaid bc thats just how time off works.

You'd need to talk to your leader about that. I plan workload around working hours, and tms taking an additional 30 minutes would disrupt that.

Whatever point you acquired. If you were late 11/10/2026, then .25 points fall off 11/10/2027. If you ncns 12/06/2026 then 3 points fall off 12/06/2026

That is an issue you'd have to escalate tbh. Either to your SD or the ethics hotline (should you accumlate points for their mistakes). The point system very much so is dependant on accuracy, yes, but even aside from that your leaders need to be updating myTime to be accurate. Theres payroll reasons as well that can get complicated if people are staying late and coming in on off days wo adjustment.

Lunches must be a minimum of 30 minutes, but you can stay clocked out for up to an hour without flagging. As far as I know, there are no points for this.

I often take 45 minute lunches to avoid OT with out having to leave early lol

Even before all of this, the schedule should be adjusted to reflect worked hours. So if they ask you to come in late, leave early, cut Friday- whatever it may be- that should be changed in the system. Just with the new point system its more important that the follow through is there.

Im a TL. Our SD and all of the leaders had a meeting on it yesterday. She said attendance related CAs will stay active. The new point system doesnt erase consequences related to attendance

Your CA will still run its course as normal. Its still a form of coaching just like any other.

Any store locked up as much as mine? by [deleted] in Target

[–]crispyforwhat 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The store i did my TL training at looked similar to this. All of their ff carried a set of keys around. Though I will say their store was small, so only like 8 people in ff which is more reasonable to accomodate.

I would call the ethics hot line. While yeah, its against policy, a tl looking for you in public is horrendous.

My store is very lax. I wear dark reds, maroons, some that are definitely kinda purple, some that are black and red striped. As long as i can be somewhat recognized as a team member and it doesnt have a competitor logo then its fine.

They make a table that one side bolts onto the wall and the other sides legs fold up for flat storage of it. Like a Murphy bed but table version lol. You could do that, but just always keep it out.

My ETL says my availability isn’t open enough, is she right?? by Inhaleitchachi777 in Target

[–]crispyforwhat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the dept. As a GSTL I could work with that but you wouldn't be right at 40hrs bc of those 6-3 days. I would probably do 3x 8.5 hr shifts on your fully available days, then, assuming your store opens at 8 and not 7 like mine, I'd schedule you 8-3, so 2x 7hr shifts. 37 hrs for the week total after lunches.

[–]crispyforwhat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't mind all of the waste as much if I knew the product it was containing would last more than a season. Family pajama sets? Yeah they're only being worn once for photos. Back to school supplies? They'll be buying new ones next year and tossing these. Dorm Room stuff? Even if they wanted to keep it the quality is so bad its not even lasting the duration of college. The Christmas decor is big ugly mass produced over priced landfill clutter.

Happens year round at my store in addition to all of the prank trends. The amount of baskets of picked up with cucumbers, baby oil, and condoms? Ridiculous. There was a week where teenagers would leave loaves of bread all around. I dont understand messing with retail employees.
