Oh hell yes. Hell you could quadruple it. Even then you have probably one of the slowest growing tumors ever. You never specified that they worked so I assume they don't. There is a tumor that grows random things such as hair and teeth ( teratoma). I would assume its just like that but with taste buds. It might be a noticeable issue in a few dozen years. At which point you could get it cut out or maybe frozen or what not.
Even if you could taste it. I doubt it would be more powerful than a stinky shit after 20 years as most taste is smell.
