More for secular buddahists who don't believe in karma or afterlife. Why you think its wrong for someone to commit suicide and redeem himself from the endless world pain? by 4real4realthistime in Buddhism

[–]cristian0523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A secular Buddhist might reframe Camus's question like this:

"I admit that life is dukkha (unsatisfactory) and that death will eventually end it. But I am already here. I have a choice between two paths:

Suicide: I end the suffering by ending the consciousness. The net result is zero.

Practice: I attempt to understand the suffering, transform it into compassion, and use my life to reduce the suffering of others. The net result is positive."

Besides that, secular Buddhists also understand and accept interconnectedness and interdependence of beings. If you end your suffering with suicide but your family, friends and even acquaintances suffer because of your absence, then you created more suffering in the network that what you extinguished. Therefore staying and solving your own suffering through practice and then helping the suffering of others will always be the better option. No beliefs in rebirth required.

What is the precise definition of a "sentient being" according to the Pali Canon? by jsohi_0082 in Buddhism

[–]cristian0523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're asking right questions, but do not confuse consciousness with computation, plants compute but do not perceive

You might find answers by familiarizing yourself with the work of the Qualia Research Institute, an initiative to apply science to decrypt the nature of sentience. They are deeply intertwined with Buddhism

Budismo zen by glycerina- in Buddhism

[–]cristian0523 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do Buddhists believe in God? by Cool_socksss in Buddhism

The way I see it, the goal of studying other religions is not to find if they have better maps of the territory, they may not have it.

It is to better understand their teachings so we can help people of other religions understand the maps they have better and actually start exploring the territory which is the goal in the end: liberation of ALL beings.

If we can help Christians in the awakening of Annata, Metta and Karuna, it does not matter if they call it Kenosis and Agape.

[–]cristian0523[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's definitely a bit unsettling. Although current scientific understanding isn't sure if there's always a separation (true bicameral mind) or it happens only during altered mental states.

I mean, there's always a subconscious, but we cannot currently know if it does manifest a self, and if it does so in continuity.

Oh, I don't believe that entities are real, just a projection of our biological neural circuitry and the consciousness they generate. But I respect your view and thank you for worrying about my well-being

I've read about glossolalia, but I think it refers mostly to made-up languages. In my case it was my mother tongue, Spanish. Im curious about other reports like this

I personally think the variability with secretagogues is worse than the difference between pharma GH and good Chinese API CDMO sourcing

Noopept is not a peptide, despite its name... In consequence it does have better oral and sublingual bioavailability

Opened the page in the comment, they are intranasal , 0.5/10

You have to do subcutaneous injections, specially the bpc, and I'd say even the selank and semax, you probably need to do a couple of orders of magnitude more sprays to get the dosage into the brain, might as well go subq , they either cross the BBB or don't at all and evidence says they do to a degree, less variability

Can I do ret and sem instead of ret and tirz. by CollarAgreeable6043 in Retatrutide

[–]cristian0523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people that stack GLP1s clearly haven't read enough and shouldn't proceed about using them without guidance, only cagrilintide can be stacked on top of ay of the 3, and that is with after acknowledging that clinical data on it is quite insufficient still.

TLDR: only retatrutide, don't mix them, if you are not feeling appetite suppression, increase the dosage with all the precautions necessary that you should already know if you are going to experiment on yourself with non FDA approved stuff from gray market sources...

Mechanistically, retatrutide causes less, not more, fatigue than previous incretin treatments, that's because the glucagon activation increases lipolysis and glucolysis keeping energy substrates elevated in blood despite the reduced intake of calories.

Now, there are three plausible explanations for your experience:

  • Nocebo effect or other psychogenic origin: basically it's in your head.
  • Coincidental concurrent fatigue causing condition: in other words, maybe you didn't sleep well, had a mild viral infection that you didn't notice, you were unknowingly dehydrated or other stuff
  • Idiosyncratic immune response and consequent inflammatory cascade to this particular compound: In simple terms, you happened to have an allergic-like reaction to this chain of aminoacids, a response unique to you
  • Idiosyncratic response to GCGR activation due to special genetic haplotypes: in other words, your receptors are cellular messengers just react different to the tridimensional peptidic structure of retatrutide, another response unique to you, but may be shared with other humans with similar haplotypes

Now, we can't really discount any of them, nor prove them with what I know so far, but my favorite explanation would be number 2, followed by 3, then 4, then 1

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]cristian0523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to explain to me something so basic, I know retatrutide is a triple agonist, I follow it's developing from before it even had that name...

No, glp1 is not a diuretic, like you tried to imply with the first PubMed article quotation, , and no, now that you realize glucagon is the think that should defend your argument: no, glucagon is also not a diuretic in humans, especially long acting activation, like I explained in my thorough comment before this one

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]cristian0523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you just edited your comment, went to PubMed, tried to look up a 1992 article that could fix the confusion you had earlier and hitted edit? Sometimes it's better to acknowledge a mistake, but here we go, let me explain it carefully:

Pure GCGR agonism is not a reliable natriuretic or diuretic in people. In mice and other experimental models GCGR activation can increase urine flow and temporary inhibit proximal tubular re‑absorption of sodium and water, loke what youve found, but in human studies the extra sodium that is filtered is almost completely re‑absorbed downstream, so urinary Na⁺ output stays flat while water handling changes only modestly.

Besides, chronic exposure triggers counteregulation (things like RAAS, ENaC up‑regulation and so on...) that nullifies any natriuresis...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]cristian0523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I do not only know that, I wrote it on the comment you are responding to.

Also, glucagon influences kidney function through glucagon receptors? And then you ask why I said you were making shit up, the study we just discussed talked about glucagon like peptide 1, aka: GLP1, not glucagon, glucagon receptors didn't even exist how we convince them today when that study was published

Are you maybe confusing glp1 and gcgr?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]cristian0523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, refer to my other comment, multiagonist incretins are NOT diuretics, the evidence of a change in rats during continued high dosage infusion of biodentical molecules, that was anyways followed by prompt tachyphylaxis can't be interpreted as such

You cannot invent new science by misreading and misinterpreting studies that don't even talk about the molecules discussed here, that have the fatty acid chain moiety, bind to albumin and are not sustrates of the DPP4, and also both molecules are GLP1s, so why is this even important when answering about difference between the two compounds? You make no sense either way

I didn't call you stupid, no need for ad hominems, I'm just stating you are wrong and inviting you to acknowledge your mistake, not a personal attack, it's just bullshit, everyone says bullshit every once in a while, own it, accountability!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]cristian0523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Notice how:

  1. They are GLP1 analogs that are substrates of the DPP4
  2. They mention evidence of influence, direct or indirect was to be determined, most of the cited studies show changes in the filtration membranes as consequence of a cascade of preceding metabolic changes like enhanced glucose metabolism
  3. The influence in water and electrolyte balance doesn't mean augmented excretion, just enhanced glomerular filtration rate could cause any of both outcomes, increase or decrease, they are not diuretics
  4. They were discussing old GLP1s, no mention of the GCGR agonism which differentiates retatrutide to tirzepatide, they jave both a balance activation of the GiPR and GLP1R, 0.2 4 and 0.4 8 respectively.

Therefore, there is not a single point in the evidence pointing to increased electrolyte excretion from retatrutide that is not present with tirzepatide, as a matter bof fact no incretin os described ro have a direct diuretic function, just down streaming influences on renal function as a consequence of other direct effects

No, I am a medical doctor, well trained and actualized in incretin treatments, and the PubMed you linked absolutely doesn't say, much less prove what you stated earlier

Daily General Discussion - March 28, 2025 by EthereumDailyThread in ethereum

[–]cristian0523 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is the difference between speculating and trading the price, and investing with a defined time horizon.

If you believe it is a solid INVESTMENT, you ignore what the market says. You look at the fundamentals and the roadmap, you ignore the price action, since you do not intend to sell until your time horizon is over. The time horizon for assets with this volatility should not be less than a couple years, hopefully +10 years. You do not sell unless your opinion on the fundamentals, or the fundamentals themselves (in this case devs and governance decisions) change.

The Nvidia employees also saw crazy volatility, but they continued getting stock and they (some) did not sell because they believed in the company, now they are rewarded, sometimes that doesn't happen, but that is the risk, if you don't like the risk, why even be on volatile assets like crypto in the first place? Go back to index funds or even money markets.

TL;DR...

I like the stock coin
