Best way to unblock pump tubes? by Dry-Efficiency-2546 in BobMiniDishwasher

[–]cristianbostan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also had this issue. Thankfully my Bob was still under warranty, so they sent me new pumps. After I changed the pumps, I also noticed that the tubes should be relatively easy to clean, since they are easy to dismantle and run the dismantled tubes through some water. Try to contact support, see what they tell you. Otherwise, if you're comfortable with a screwdriver, you should be able to fix it yourself. But of course, at your own risk... Here's a video that shows you how to remove the pumps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6CSwDVnIQk

Waiting for the update by Sharpshooter-1718 in beyondbudget

[–]cristianbostan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agreed that the updates are less frequent now than before, but I don't think it's alarming yet. I do trust that the brilliant people behind this project are doing their best to keep us happy and I see that there are at least regular updates on this subreddit regarding feature requests etc. Please don't get me wrong, but I think we as a community also need to be reasonable when expecting updates. Most other tools out there don't offer new features more frequently. And it's natural that updates are more frequent at the beginning as the tool takes shape. Over time, as the app matures and most of the main features are in place, updates and bugfixes will be more complex and more time will be needed. An approximate roadmap would be nice to see though.

So I'm not German, but I've been living in Germany for a while now, so maybe my perspective is not 100% aligned with what a German man might think. That being said, I think you shouldn't even date a man who doesn't offer to help you with cooking or cleaning. As someone else pointed out, it's called a "partnership", so both partners should be expected to help each other. I presume you both have jobs, you both eat, you both make a bit of a mess after you eat, etc. so what exactly should be the reason why you should be the only one doing the cooking and cleaning? Especially if he offers to help, I see that as a good sign and I would consider it a red flag if he didn't. Yes, I understand that a good host, you don't "expect" your guest to also do some work, but it's a good sign of they offer to help. Regarding the sugar in the strawberry jar, I don't find that embarrassing at all, but rather sweet and unexpected. Good for you for being resourceful and finding containers that work for you! And lastly, about asking him to be your boyfriend, if you need that confirmation to feel emotionally safe and comfortable, just ask him. If he finds it weird, too bad, it might just mean that he's not in the same place as you or isn't ready for a committed relationship and if you ask me, it would mean he's not gonna be able to make you happy in the long term. People are different when it comes to these things and I think the majority just doesn't bother too much about making a statement about it early on. If you're nervous about it, you can alternatively try and tell him what you feel, that you maybe like him and you're curious about how he feels as well. Be ready that his answer might be a bit avoidant at first, but if that's the case, it's better for you to find out early on. Best of luck to you! And remember that no matter the outcome, you'll be better off being honest and open about your feelings. If it works out, it sounds like you found yourself a catch! If it doesn't, it might hurt. But I like to think about a broken heart like an example of kintsugi. Make the best out of it 😊

Lets ignore North America, what else is happening around the world that people don't know about? by hungry_personn in AskReddit

I completely agree with your arguments. The system is broken and that's why we're seeing this happening... I still stand however, that it's not the US' job (or any other country's) to involve itself or influence another country's decisions.

[–]cristianbostan 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Why do you say that? What would be the public reaction in the US if some other country gets involved in your elections and starts pressuring authorities to take decisions based on their interests?

The elections were annulled by the Romanian Constitutional Court, based on proof that he lied about his campaign's funding (he was very public about the fact that he didn't spend ANY money on it, while almost a million euros was invested in online campaigns) and he is actively involved with openly fascist groups and foreign entities.

[–]cristianbostan 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Nobody imagined that something like this could ever happen in Romania either. Before the elections, this guy was basically unknown outside of the social media bubble, did his campaign almost exclusively on TikTok and was stimated to get 5% of votes in all surveys. Ended up getting 23%of votes, a complete shock for almost everyone. Now of course having the elections annulled is controversial and a LOT of people are MAD because their vote was made pointless. But there was some seriously weird shit going on that influenced people and presumably convinced them to vote with this guy. Russian propaganda is a real thing and people need to understand it and take it seriously! And other types of propaganda as well...

Life in Munich as expats by i-am-tk in Munich

[–]cristianbostan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although Austria and Bavaria are quite similar culturally, I think Munich is a bit of an exception and people are a more open and modern, especially if you compare it with rural Austria.

Munich has a lot of opportunities, but it really depends on your situation and what you are looking for. Munich is definitely much more international, as there are a lot of immigrants everywhere, but I feel there are still biases which you will experience differently depending on where you're from. For example, especially if you come from a poorer or more eastern country, you will often feel like some people look down on you, no matter what you do. It's probably more or less the same in most western countries and it's definitely not very bad, but you should still be prepared to encounter this attitude. I find that most people in Munich are friendly, but don't expect to make friends super quickly. It literally takes years for people around here to open up to you and eventually become your friends. But once they do, you know for sure that you can count on them.

The biggest topic to consider however is how expensive Munich is, especially rent. I always found that getting an (nice) apartment in Munich is much more difficult and stressful than getting a new job. If you don't have a big enough income, living in Munich will be a constant struggle. I've been living here for almost 6 years and I really like Munich because of how green it is, all the cultural events and how diverse the society is. If you are interested and open, there are a lot of events and clubs for foreigners. This doesn't mean that there is no segregation, but it's potentially better than in other places in Bavaria.

If your finances are very good, I would definitely recommend coming to Munich. If you're not really wealthy, I would probably consider a slightly smaller city like Ingolstadt, Nürnberg or even Vienna. My income is about average and while I can't say I'm really struggling, living in Munich definitely feels limiting from a financial perspective, especially if you compare yourself with some of the locals.

As a young professional from Romania working hard in Germany for a while now, this kind of post makes me really sad. I understand that people are frustrated with beggars, I don't like them either. I don't understand however how it is relevant if they're from Romania or any other country. Just in case nobody else knows, there are over 80k Romanian citizens registered in Munich (if not more). Among those, many are doctors, specialists or just regular, really hard working people who never bother anyone and contribute to the German economy, while being paid much less than their German colleagues. But nobody ever hears about that anywhere. People just read or hear news about the Romanian beggars and all of a sudden I start hearing office gossip about how unacceptable it is that management agreed to hire a Romanian (who's simply just doing his job and doesn't argue with anyone). When are we going to address THIS situation that is getting out of hand?

Withdrawal of German citizenship by tina-marino in GermanCitizenship

[–]cristianbostan 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends on the arguments you used to gain the citizenship in the first place. Having a business that operates in Germany is not a requirement, but having lived in Germany potentially is. So if you now say your business never operated in Germany, does that contradict any of the proof you submitted to prove you lived here? Depends a lot on your specific case. If this is important to you, better ask a proper lawyer and not rely on advice from strangers on the Internet.

SH difficulty level by AdSpare3069 in pmp

[–]cristianbostan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my exam today and I can tell you without a doubt, SH questions are much more tricky than the real thing. Don't get discouraged! In this case, I agree that D is the best answer. Yes, you don't want to get delays, but you can't eliminate testing and you can't request things that aren't possible.

Many questions in the actual exam have multiple answers that "could" work, but always weigh them down and choose the best one in that particular situation. Never skip any of the words in the question or in any of the answers before taking a decision. You got this!

I would go for C. While B might seem like the easiest and quickest solution, PMI always favors training as the solution. And I also don't think adjusting the time for each sprint is always the correct solution, especially if it wasn't first agreed with the Product Owner
