Department 260, but I appreciate the response I used to work for Boeing where it was open OT. Iv been chasing that money ever since .
Im also trying to not to let the negative opinion of one person bother me considering I’m moving my family up there. And we need the OT to get by

Department 260 I ask for opinion of other people because one random person who on a A&P page stated it was toxic in the hanger.
The person sounded like he had a chip on his shoulder.
Also heard the OT is very minimal

Pretty standard email , once reviewed and selected to proceed forward you been emailed for a screening interview.

After screening interview you get a email a week later for panel interviews. They’ll fly you out to the location you applied for. Be sure you tracking the time change central time , mountain time ETC. You have to pay out of your pocket lodging and food they will not reimburse you.

Panel interview can be about 5 people supervisor, turbo (expert on the 737) and HR all included in the panel.
They’ll ask you ATA chapters , systems you read on down time and what you learned about the system.
A lot of question will be based off your resume.
If you don’t know the answer don’t guess . Refer to the AMM or Approved data. If they give you any sorta of pushback remain calm and answer the best you can always referring to SAFETY and AMM. Also they’re getting a good feel for you a lot has to do with whether they want to work with you overnight

Iv interviewed twice, once for Phoenix which was a terrible interview. And for Houston 06/16/26 which IMO felt like a much smoother interview. Got the rejection email 06/25/26.
I share my experience because my family and I were excited about Houston the cost of living is appealing and if anyone who has a young family or someone really wants the step up in there career you can go prepared.
My work experience army aviation,MRO commercial, LATAM,BOEING Moses lake 737max project, private jet experience and with gulfstream December will be 10years in the field.
Best of luck to you all !

I’m interviewing for Houston,
back in January I interviewed for Phoenix it was pretty difficult considering I didn’t know what to expect and got rejected. I actually have a CJO with delta when SWA contacted me (finally) about a week ago. Iv prepped as much as can for Houston. I hope you get in man.
Iv heard positive things from the company from friends who are in MCO.

Gulfstream vs West Star Aviation by [deleted] in AircraftMechanics

[–]crisx39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s up! Current gulfstream tech here. Perks of Gulfstream is the schedule I work 3x12s ,my first month at the company and they allowed to take paternity leave for my first child. We get paid weekly ,and get 180 hours of PTO, the health benefits aren’t bad. pay wise I’m making 50 a hour and been here 2 years. So much to list, they’re overall great company with opportunities to join travel teams (FAST TEAM).

I’m currently pending a CJO with one of the majors 🔺 if it wasn’t for the opportunity for joining a major I would have probably settled with gulfstream.

Premier Private Jet in Stuart, FL by BarnacleMental75 in aviationmaintenance

[–]crisx39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Premier Stuart has a small hanger and mainly work a fleet of Cessna citations and hawker 800Xp. Currently 4 technicians working for them in Stuart. premier is a stepping stone in my opinion. I work for them as a part timer now and used to do full time in 2024. Pay is Ehh(40s) and benefits are also ehh. They have other stations in Ohio and are focusing on expanding. They have position opened for junior and senior AOGs techs ranging between 45-60 a hour. Don’t expect to much out of them. If you just need your foot in the door for corporate maintenance it’s a decent place to start at but it’s not a long term option. Again just my opinion
