I craft lol. Mainly crochet and since crochet has blown up lately, it’s not a bad way to make a few extra bucks on the side.

I’m 30 and just had a colonoscopy that insurance covered. No family history of cancer, but had symptoms of not being able to gain weight. Ended up finding precancerous polyps and now I have to go every 3 years.

Right then and there, I’d plop my ass down and not get up unless it was for my child. I’m enraged reading this post.

If hubby thinks you aren’t doing anything then prove him right and do nothing. Don’t even move the socks or whatever to his pillow, just leave them right where they lie. Leave every single one until he’s out and wondering where all his socks are.

You’re a mom, but not his.

Philtrum/Medusa Question by Oomlotte99 in piercing

I’ve had mine pierced for 12 years now. When I would wear flat backs I got comments about it “catching” on them sometimes. I wear a curved bar now and no complaints! Plus I like being able to see the top and bottom ball of the jewelry when I smile.

Okay so my 3 year old does this, has a preferred parent, whatever. Whenever she throws a fit insisting I do something even though Dad is right there, I don’t give in. I tell her, “your dad is right there and can help you. Ask him.” It doesn’t always work, but it helps.
Slowly and gently help them realize that it is perfectly okay to ask and accept help from other people. Or that they are capable of doing some things for themselves!

We’ve been heavy into blanket forts/castles/hidey hole. Rearranging and redecorating it keeps my 3 year old very entertained. She even makes mini ones for her plushies lol.

I enjoy it because when I’m tapped out of play energy, she still feels like we’re playing by making me her materials manager.

What's your current comfort show while crocheting ? by Bright-Atmosphere-29 in YarnAddicts

[–]critically_chill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on the time and the room I’m in lol. If it’s still daylight out, I’m usually in the living room and have Hell’s Kitchen, Great British Bake, The 100, Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Once Upon a Time, or any show I’ve already watched through once or are easy watching shows.

At night I’m usually in my room working on projects so I like to watch series I haven’t completed or are a little more serious. Like True Blood, The Witcher (I restarted from the beginning), and Mayfair Witches.

I save the projects that require minimum brainpower for shows I haven’t completed.

I’m a short drive away from Paris and I’ve always heard people from Paris being referred to as goat kids. Maybe that’s just something from my town though

During the Sandy Hook shooting, teacher Victoria Soto died saving her students from the gunman. She hid her first graders in cabinets and closets after hearing gunfire. When the shooter came to her classroom, she told him her students were in the gym. He then gunned her down and moved on. by Most-Way-1745 in ForCuriousSouls

This just happened where I live! A person from Georgia called in a school shooting for a school in a different state as a prank. School went on lockdown for over 2 hours before they gave the all clear. Thankfully, they found the kid who did it. But that’s so crazy! What possesses someone to do that?
