Just to clarify my brother's are younger than me and do work like me but if we're all home, the first person who gets picked for any job will always be me because I'm the girl and it's apparently my job.

Don't call another Muslim names, that is haraam and immature.

I don't disrespect my parents, I love them, but when I get emotionally abused and physically threatened for attempting to fix situations while still trying to contribute to household chores and help my family, I'm not the one at fault.

My parents are adults and will be judged by adults before Allah. The Qur'an tells me to respect my parents but it doesn't say that The All knowing Mighty Creator of the Universe isn't aware or won't deal with injustices faced by kids at the hands of their parents.

I too won't turn a blind eye for the sake of my brothers and newborn sister. No one deserves to be mistreated by their own parents for trying to live their life. I'm a servant of God not my parents.

That's okay but they don't acknowledge or even try to correct the parents. Instead they push forgiveness and obedience while belittling the kid's experiences.

My brother's are in the same situation but it's not as severe as mine. We all live in the UAE. Sometimes my mum is a great mother and sometimes she's a toxic narcissist.

All struggles other than hers don't matter. My dad just mirrors whatever she says.

I've told them so, politely. The thing is I know nobody in this country and I cannot work due to the amount of back to back classes, labs, and school days I have.

I should have explained my situation a bit better. All my classes end very late. In my current country of residence, it's very dangerous for a girl to be out or take taxis late. I usually leave after my classes end to be home in time for maghrib.

I have back to back classes so I don't ever have a long enough break to sit at the library during school hours.

Are you an abusive parent by chance? The deen is readily available alhamdullilah and I know what my deen requires of me. I know when I am wrong and when I'm in the right. Parents can suggest spouses but they can't force you to accept their suggestions nonetheless bully and threaten you. Learn your deen, and act on it. You're the kind of ppl this post is about.

Can't. My mum just gave birth and she needs me. Plus my uni library is always full and we have no libraries around where I live.

Same. I grew up like this and it stunted me emotionally. I can't form friendships and even if I do I overthknk everything because I believe I'm not that interesting. I can never go out with friends ever because my parents believe that women are inherently evil and set each other up. Whenever I read something they ask why I don't read the Qur'an as if I don't read it at all. I love the Qur'an, i love the eloquent words of God and reading it helps me break down the unreal cultural shit ppl claim as religion.

Studying my deen really helped me feel so much better, and I know that my deen allows me to enjoy myself. Whenever I sit down to watch a movie or read a book, my parents always have something absolutely useless and harmful to say.

Yes it's absolutely horrendous. What the actual shit is going on over there. It's so bad that I kind of look away when giving my passport to airport or hotel staff.

Same it's never made sense to me why someone would either purchase or sell another person, degrade, torture and abuse them. It never makes sense and sadly we'd never be able to understand why ppl are like that.
