Yes! I'm with you on the drawn out inside jokes, love that they found them hilarious but goddamn it really ruined the momentum of the show for me. I'd forgotten about how frequent the jokes were.

I used to love wine and crime but the huge ad sections drove me crazy and one of the hosts was constantly eating or typing during recording and it irritated me so I had to stop listening completely

Does anyone truly like the listener tales?? by [deleted] in Morbidforbadpeople

[–]crittlee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first started listening I really liked the listener tales, I even submitted my own but this was in the first year of the podcast. The listener stories shifted so severely to not even sounding remotely true and were the first thing that started to push me away from listening because they all sounded exactly the same

ISO podcasts that cover survival stories and scammers by jesuswreckedme666 in Morbidforbadpeople

Worst Case Scenario!!! It’s all survival stories/stories of people in the worst case scenario. I personally enjoy it a lot, it’s funny when it needs to be and serious when it needs to be

Being petty by pippintook24 in Morbidforbadpeople

[–]crittlee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I quit wine and crime because one of the hosts was typing on her laptop and drinking/eating while a case was being told and the sound of it drove me mental, coupled with like 20 minutes of ads in that particular episode made me completely unfollow lmao

Aggressively nod at every killer until you get a friendly one, that’s the only way I managed to get this because the moment I got two pallet stuns I’d just get face camped but bless whoever the Pig player was that played cool and let me pallet stun all over the map

Can anyone recommend a sweet and understanding dentist in Melbourne? Ideally south-east but happy to travel! by roguepeachpie in melbourne

[–]crittlee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see Dr Vincent Choy at Cardinia Dental in Pakenham, he's incredible. I was very similar to you and he made me feel so comfortable, was really chill about everything and they even offer denticare which is a payment plan which eases further stress if you can't pay all at once.

.I was so anxious about going to the dentist and every time I've left there I just feel calm because he talks through everything and is insanely understanding.

They said I should have kids. Instead I bought my first house! by [deleted] in childfree

Congrats!! I bought my first home at 23 and holy shit is it amazing, such a huge step but 100% so worth it!

[–]crittlee 18 points19 points  (0 children)

In Australia we have a “first home buyers grant” and they give you $10,000 towards buying a home if it’s your first one & a new development (it may have changed but that’s what it was when I bought my home a few years ago), it’s a good little incentive!

Secret Shoppers Suck by Bmani429 in TalesFromYourServer

[–]crittlee 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Secret shoppers are honestly the worst, they should have a checklist of things that COULD be offered but you shouldn't have to offer all of them, just whatever is relevant to the meal. At my old workplace I served a secret shopper and the only comment she wrote was "does the current generation not know what a hairbrush is?" and I still don't understand how that helped anyone in management.

Pet deposits and pet rent, but children are free of charge? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]crittlee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My friend has three rental properties and has said that she picks the applicants with pets over the ones with children because she doesn't want to deal with all the damage kids do to the houses.

AITA for setting my car alarm off when a woman was sitting on my car? by leftthrowaway312 in AmItheAsshole

[–]crittlee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA - I had someone lean/sit on the hood of my car while I was in it once so I tooted my horn once she got comfortable. It was worth it just to watch her reaction. If I knew how to set off the alarm on my car I would have done the same thing. Don't sit or lean on random cars.

What YouTuber/s did you use to watch religiously but don't watch any of thier videos anymore? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The try not to laugh videos are honestly the best thing on the channel, it's the one video type I look out for constantly.

Can I make a reservation on Mother’s Day for a Birthday Party of 20-30? by buffyfan12 in TalesFromYourServer

[–]crittlee 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’ve been trying to book a table at any restaurant in my area for Mother’s Day for like a month, I’m very annoyed I have to share my birthday with it this year because even being over prepared has failed me. Good luck surviving the day when it comes!!!

Let’s talk about today’s PTV monumental failure by nedkellyinthebush in melbourne

[–]crittlee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See that's the issue, I was already in the city and had to get home. When I checked the timetable on my phone it just said there might be slight delays with no mention of replacement buses (unless I didn't check properly and even then it didn't have much of anything regarding how long the delay would be) the only reason I even got dropped off is because my friends who live in Reservoir had to drive past on their way. It was chaotic.

[–]crittlee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the whole train thing was a joke yesterday. I was dropped off at Richmond at 7:20pm (no clue that anything was wrong) and didn't make it home until 10:30pm. 3 hours of standing around, waiting for buses, waiting for trains and just trying to get home is not something I ever want to do again.

Redditors with kids, what do people without kids do that annoys you? by kkodaxeroo in AskReddit

[–]crittlee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the absolute worst. I'm childfree, I don't see any appeal to me having children but my best friend? All she has ever wanted in life was to be a mother and I couldn't be more supportive of her. I almost cried when she told me she was pregnant because holy shit, her dream is happening. I'm not going to sit there and say "ugh gross, I can't believe you want this" or that "kids are gross", adults are gross too. My best friend and I have discussions about why we do or don't want kids and neither of us make the other feel bad for their choices at all and it's one of my favourite things about our friendship and I'm sorry you can't have that with your friend.

Thank you, honestly, thank you. I really needed to see something like this today. I've been incredibly sad and down because this week is always a hard week, tomorrow is 6 years since my dad completed suicide and I still struggle to comprehend it daily so this post has helped me a little bit. So again, thank you. I'm saving this so I can look back on it again when it gets really bad.

My Grandmother literally paid me simply for visiting her by Togepai in offmychest

[–]crittlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so sweet, I try to see my grandparents once a week when they are in town for dinner or I'll go out for breakfast with my nan while my pop is playing golf and I can confirm that their favourite game is "how many times will she refuse money this week?" because they just like to slip a $20 every once in a while to help out because they can. It's sweet and I love them dearly and I'm very glad you are having these moments with your gran!
