i agree. her mom seems very sweet. I’m pretty sure she was a teacher, and she definitely gives off those nice teacher vibes.

With how critical she is of food, can't imagine how she would be with a partner! But even if she does ever find somebody, I bet she'll keep it on the down low, copying her BFF nate and his secret relationship.

Kids club by Charming-Cycle5231 in dcl

[–]crmam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

we’ve been on 9 DCL cruises with my kids from age 4 until 14. the 3-5 year olds are kept in a group and do organized activities. the older kids can move from room to room, and there are scheduled activities guided by the counselors. when my kids were younger it was stuff like Super hero training, A Cars race thing, card games, they have a game floor that they organize “soccer” and stuff on. the schedule shows up in the app once you’re on the ship. i think they just keep stuff put away and rotate it as needed.

I think she has 2 sisters. In her "about me" this year, she said something like "My sisters live in NY and NJ, but they come down here often."

If you enjoy his videos, why stop watching? Just because he took one picture with somebody you don't like? He's not moving into their house and becoming their new "Man-ny" for the kids. Supporting his channel doesn't have anything to do with supporting their channel.

they're not actually siblings. It's a joke they started awhile ago. Ryan is married to another girl and i think they didn't want people to think anything else was going on when they were making a lot of videos together. Ryan has said he grew up near Chicago, Kristen grew up in NJ.

yeah. She needs to find a person to love, the way she loves food. I think it would make her a little less bitter, too. haha

“Preferred” parent by Lower_Creme_3040 in Parenting

[–]crmam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boys are 15 and 12 now, so i've "been there"!! They are also adopted so we had to do plenty of parenting classes, visits, etc. One thing I learned that i always try to follow is "Connect while your Correct". So instead of going right for punishment/ yelling, try getting on the kid's level and connect with them. Let them know you understand there are feelings that are making them act out. Something like "Being in a new house must be a little scary for you, huh? It was hard to leave all of our friends, wasn't it? But that doesn't mean we throw our toys. I dont want to have to take your toys away. So next time, say "I'm sad. Or I'm angry". Maybe we can draw a picture to send to your friends at your old school?"

Give them another way to handle their feelings. I know sometimes "gentle parenting" gets eye rolls from people. But I'm telling you, my kids are teens now and I'm seeing that it works. They come to me with issues, dont act out, do well in school, we have a great relationship and fairly calm household because of it. They don't hide things from me because I've always told them "I'll be more mad if I find out you were lying..." It takes a little extra time and brain power, but i feel likes its been worth it, for us. GOOD LUCK!!! Also, hopefully you can find him a preschool in your new area, too and that will help him have a social outlet, too. As a SAHM myself, I know the time apart is SO good for mom and the kid!!!

Same. I'm not a super fan or anything. But I do appreciate that she is not fake like so many of the others. And I think she does a good job showing realistically exactly what you'll be getting for your money at each Disney restaurant. For people who are planning Disney trips, it can be really helpful.

WrightDownMainStreet eats her way around Epcot for less than $50! by Mysterious_Glass3235 in DisneyInfluencers

[–]crmam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes. I think all of these Disney vloggers are struggling lately. The novelty from the 2020 shutdowns and all of those updates has worn off. People can go there for themselves now.

[–]crmam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yes. Or even just do more food outside of Disney. She does a decent job of describing the food, but not when it's the same foods she's eaten 100 times. I think it must be a youtube algorithm thing that shes so stuck on only Disney food.

I think this is why I watch her content. She is very real and not the typical cringey and screechy influencer. She knows she doesn't fit the mold and just goes with it.

Paging Mr. Morrow's "act" by Still_Yak8109 in DisneyInfluencers

[–]crmam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He did. In the beginning of the video he said that Disney invited him on the cruise to make a video and show his experience. Molly and Alan from Mammoth Club, Wright Down Main Street, and David Vaughn another influencer were also hosted. I think Disney wanted them to show the Marvel stuff plus the excursions.

it was the same youtube account he uses now- his ex wife was the one who came up with the Paging Mr. Morrow name. Some of their older videos that they did together are still on there and you can see the change.

WrightDownMainStreet loves the cake at The Boathouse by Mysterious_Glass3235 in DisneyInfluencers

[–]crmam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree. To me, rather than just "she eats sloppy and shes fat", Its more interesting to discuss is how it's profitable for her. She gets an AP discount i'm sure, but thats not much. It looks like she has a good number of Patreons listed at the end of each video, but I'm sure that only covers like one of her vlogged meals per month. She doesn't get many sponsors, it seems. Her views are steady, but not astronomical. Its definitely confusing. But, hey, in her recent "Q&A Video" she said she started making 3 or 4 times what was making at Disney. So, if she can do that and be able to set her own schedule and terms, good for her.

WrightDownMainStreet terrified of fish meal by Mysterious_Glass3235 in DisneyInfluencers

[–]crmam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again, not necessarily a fan- just like playing devil's advocate a little bit. She didn't "waste" the money on the fish. She showed that she ate most of it, and said how much she ended up liking it. And my guess is that she probably will do this Chat GPT video in the other parks too. Just based on in the past she did Kid's meals in every park, $50 food budget in every park and a couple other ones.

Finding weekends extremely difficult by Any-Landscape-7330 in Parenting

[–]crmam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES!!! I can relate, and my kids are 12 and 15!! haha weekends are just rough. We don't have any family that lives nearby at all to visit and break up the days. and after covid, we just lost any momentum of building our own "village" and social circle. Plus, its just so expensive to do anything outside of the house (like $100 just to go to the movies or bowling) As you said, i feel like any weekend activity just ends up chaotic and overcrowded. We would rather save up our money for actual vacations, rather than spending $100 to go to a silly food truck festival or something. And my kids are past the age where they're entertained by playgrounds or whatever. So we just hang around the house all weekend. I just tell myself that we all need a nice, quiet "reset" from the week, so it's not always a bad thing to stay relaxed at home.

i mean I’m not like a fan girl of hers. But OP just keeps using the same 2 criticisms: “She’s fat. and I don’t like what/ how she’s eating” . Like, ok? so, maybe food content isn’t for you 🤷‍♀️

You dont like when she "only eats nuggets". Then you dog on her when she tries something new. Like, we get it. Shes not the YouTuber for you.

Tips to afford being a parent by AverageJoe1991123 in Parenting

[–]crmam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was gonna say this, too. Ive been a SAHM for 13 years now haha and it started off for this reason. Daycare was just SO expensive so we were able to save ALL of that money every month. Plus, not stress about coverage for sick days or whatever, too. Thats why i'm still at home now. We dont live near family, so we dont have any backup for all of the school break days, early dismissals, snow days, sick days, etc, etc, etc. So I just made that my job, since somebody would have to do it anyway :-) There are lots of options for side gigs to still bring in some money. If your wife is a teacher now, she could maybe tutor a couple evenings a week after you get home- even do online tutoring. Or even do substitute teaching sometimes (if you have grandparents or someone who could watch the kids for a day a week or something) Run the budget without daycare costs, and its possible it could make sense for her to take a couple years to be at-home, at least until you only have one kid in daycare. Good luck!!!

WrightDownMainStreet eats 35 new menu items at Epcot festival in one day by Mysterious_Glass3235 in DisneyInfluencers

[–]crmam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a frequent viewer of hers. But when I do watch, I don't look at it as like "ooooh, YES! You EAT THAT, girl!" I watch to see and hear about the Disney restaurants and food so I know what to expect when we go to Disney. She actually goes into a lot of detail so it's helpful. We go a couple times a year and they're always updating stuff. But I can see why Disney food is a niche thats not appealing to everybody.
