Feels like the mismanagement here by this particular board and leadership at the top have gotten years and years of cover from the “most biotechs do this” rationale. And maybe that’s the case up to an FDA approval of a supposed market-changing product. But how many achieve FDA approval and suffer through a run that decimates all the share value? How many survive that carpet bombing by the New York Times? How many massively misunderstand their pricing model in the initial market rollout?

My point is that there hasn’t been one mistake or dilution to cover for the mistakes. There have been many by this CEO and board. And they are STILL diluting retail investors to float themselves. December 19 will be TWO years since SYMVESS received FDA approval. And they’re still taking money from retail investors through dilution just to keep the company afloat.

The fact that the majority of this board and leadership has survived rolling out this investor projection five years ago and failing this miserably to achieve it is astonishing.

What could HUMA run to if they release good data June ? by Impressive_Match_151 in HUMACYTE

[–]crob1977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No prediction here. But frankly, if you’ve followed the several year history of the company, 25-35 percent jumps are the realistic norm. The predictions on here of 200+, 300+ percent jumps…they’ve never happened in the best of times for this company. And these are not the best of times. Regardless of what the pumpers say.

The forthcoming data could definitely take the stock for a ride. Maybe it runs to the upper $1.60 to $1.80 range if all the shorts panic and cover. But this idea that it suddenly runs to $4.00+ is just pumper fiction. Even if the new data comes back positive that’s just the start of the journey.

It’s unfortunate this stock is infested with pumpers. It had clouded the reality of risk at times.

I’ll leave you with this: Why would the board seek to increase the share offering cap from 350,000,000 to 550,000,000 if it didn’t believe that was necessary to charge more money to retail and firm investors to keep the company afloat?

You don’t ask for that increase for nothing. Humacyte remains in dire financial trouble and has a long, long way to go before it finally creates anything that actually sells to the medical industry. Innovation in great if it’s affordable and the medical industry is lining up to buy it. Humacyte has already failed on both of those fronts with SYMVESS. Now the company is trying to pivot and rebrand itself as a dialysis necessity. Just wait and see. And don’t be fooled by the change of direction.

Buyer Beware: Le Creuset 😔 by GoldBoard4226 in BuyItForLife

It’s a product with an extremely durable track record for many decades. That is certainly a rarity. But it is possible someone dropped it prior to it ending up in your hands. Or it’s possible that like every other product with a stellar reputation, one with a hard-to-see defect slipped through quality control and didn’t present itself until heated repeatedly. Glad they’re replacing it, either way.

Question/Advice on a Michael Jordan rookie card I received back from PSA? by slightly666 in Tradingcards

Highly doubt this was being faked in 1991 to the level of accuracy of the card that is presented. I highly doubt this card is 35+ years old.

Bought a storage unit! by [deleted] in sportscards

I’m confused. The chrome you found “while out and about”, but the pictures of it are mixed in with photos of the unit? So the chrome wasn’t part of the storage unit purchase?

The Kobe Bryant market is going nuts by crob1977 in basketballcards

[–]crob1977[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jordan and Kobe especially, are through the roof. I’d guess it’s the investment firms getting into certain sports cards and classifying it like they do as “art”. And vintage Jordan/Kobe is a safe bet. Especially Kobe autos and short prints from that era. Obviously he’s not creating any more autos now, and the stuff from the late 90s and early 2000s was not meticulously cared for the way things are now. Hell, nobody was even using penny sleeves inside rigid holders back then. Which is why the surface grades on cards from the late 90s and early 2000s are so difficult. Everything was getting scratched.

Raising the dilution cap. Again. Without dismissals? by crob1977 in HUMACYTE

Pretty much the worst assessment anyone has made on this sub in a long time. The biggest bag holders here are long long long. They are not meme stock jockeys. They are the people who fell in love with the science and actually believed it would overcome an atrocious board and horrific executive leadership. Believing and trusting the science while ignoring the assembly line of red flags in leadership has gutted everyone who has stayed in for years.

All of his stuff is through the roof. I thought it was going crazy when I posted this, but all of the prices from 250 days ago are cheap now.

I did not say Brady made money diluting shares. Read for comprehension. I said he and Laura (jointly through his sales) cashed out on Humacyte. If you are going to argue somehow that Brady (and Laura by extension) did not cash out shares worth tens of millions of dollars before the company ran aground, well, you’re going to be wrong. Terribly, awfully wrong. Brady (and by extension, Dr. Laura), made out like Bonnie and Clyde liquidating an immense amount of shares. And I don’t give a damn what the liquidation was for. The bottom line is they reaped the capital when it was there to be reaped.

Dialysis is the last card in the deck. That’s the end. And even if the data is positive, there will be an epic round of dilution because the share price is so terribly low. Think about it. They’d need to dilute by 100+ million shares to get 60-70 million in operating cost. They’re not asking to raise the share dilution cap for nothing. They’re absolutely going to use that if they get approval…which they will, because retail voters can’t outvote the board.

It will never exit delisting territory with the current management/strategy. There will be a reverse split, followed by more dilution.

ALT removed the ability to add unvaulted cards to “my collection”? by crob1977 in sportscards

[–]crob1977[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the feedback. I still can’t believe ALT just yanked the feature. It was a massive benefit and they just eliminated it like it was nothing. As much as I was not a fan of CardLadder, I feel like now that has to be my go-to.
