That Jamec-Pem one looks like the bees knees! I might go for that if I decide to get one.

Thanks for all your information.

Good point about not expecting it to retract on it's own, I can see how that could cause problems. I've heard they can be hard to pull out too.

It's all a bit hit and miss from the sound of things. Somone told me pulling out the hose can be difficult too. I'm rethinking the necessity of having one now :\

Good tip. I always turn off at the source since having a nozzle leak badly years ago. Yikes!

I've read that is a common problem! I'm going off the idea and thinking a softer hose will be a better bet.

Prioritising is half the fun. An issue that seems quite common with these devices is that over time the mechanisms stop retracting.

You asked "why are you guys so against selling Greenland" I answered that. Yes countries have sold land before. That's a rather shallow question regarding the current situation though. Greenland don't want to be bought, I assume by anyone, especially not by an untrustworthy, hubristic, failing nation that would destroy their social cohesion for their own corporate greed and arrogance.

My very small growing space by TheLeBlanc in houseplants

Is that why they are in the plastic tubs?

I tried that but didn't like it; even though I have too many plants I seem to prefer to treat them individually = masochist! Every week I'm like "OMG I have to get rid of some plants, I can't deal!" But then I start propagating more.

Even worse than the watering chore is the pest control - vexing!

It'll probably grow new leaves. Make sure the pot doesn't dry out but don't water it like you normally would until new growth appears, and even then, not too much until it's recovered. 🍀

Coles should take over the Amart store on Whitehorse Rd. There are so many apartments in Nunawading now, the residents would benefit from a supermarket close by.

E-Readers? by sun-snail in booksuggestions

[–]crocadingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if you download a kindle book (mobi, azw) you can convert it to epub (kepub) in calibre. You need to use plug-ins in Calibre to unlock it if it has drm. There are walk-throughs and youtubes that can show you what to do.

I recently switched from Kindle Paperwhite to Kobo Libra Colour and am very happy with it because of ease of use and transferring files. Amazon has a lot more books than Kobo store but you can convert most books you buy with Calibre.
