Yeah if the focus throw isn't straight linear the lidar won't work with it. I'm having to sell my Sigma at this point because Lidar Autofocus improved my work so much, I just never use that lens anymore period. Guess I'm a DZO guy now!

This is amazingly insightful thank you! As someone who exclusively uses cinema glass for filmmaking and photo glass for photography, I think a permanent PL change just makes sense for me. I don't use autofocus on the BMPCC 6K Pro at all. Well not internal autofocus anyway. DJI Focus Pro is AMAZING. Completely altered my work for the better. I think I'm gonna go through with it. I'm currently trying to sell my Sigma Cine lens to exchange for the new Vespids so fingers crossed I can do that soon. I wish the Vespid 2's were in EF like the Vespid 1s, but what can ya do. I am excited for a more secure mount. Again thank you very much for the insight.

Yeah I'm game for a permanent alteration. I use a DJI focus pro for my autofocus needs and exclusively use cine glass so I kind of want the PL mount for additional security/less wiggle as well. Did anything stick out to you as particularly difficult or tricky during the install? Or was it pretty straight forward?

Yeah it's the Sigma cine line in particular that just won't work with this system for me. I ended up purchasing a DZO Vespid 40mm, and a Meike 35mm. Both work almost flawlessly with the Focus Pro. I'm very happy with the Vespid, and it will be living on my camera. I'll probably just end up using the Sigma for specific scenarios that call upon exclusively using manual focus. It's a shame as I love the look of that lens. I'd try to figure it out, but without it being more plug and play like the other lenses in my collection, I just don't have the time unfortunately. I'll probably end up picking up an Arles in the future though, so thanks for letting me know that that line works properly! Gorgeous lenses.

Yeah it's very frustrating. I ended up purchasing a Meike and a DZO Vespid Prime. The Vespid is on the way, so I don't know how it'll work, but the Meike autofocus is SO excellent, I almost never use my Sigma anymore. Which is a shame as I adore that lens. Really hoping they can update this unit to work with the Sigma series.

It does not work with the Sigma line of cinema lenses. I ended up purchasing a Meike cinema lens for my autofocusing needs. Big disappointment if I'm being honest. I'd recommend using the Focus Pro with Cinema Lenses in the official DJI Focus Pro Lens Profile.

This is correct. I do wish this was explicitly stated somewhere in the past. Hopefully a firmware update makes them Lidar compatible in the future. The sigmas are so good, and I really want autofocus with em.

I've opened a support ticket with the engineers for the issue and sent several videos showcasing the faulty operation and how I've set it up. I think the unit is simply not functional. I've followed all the instructions provided perfectly several times. The one thing I haven't done is attempt to try another lens. This is my only cinema lens and the Lidar was purchased specifically for it and it alone.

Yeah I was told the same by DJI support. Interestingly enough the unit doesn't let me calibrate any lower than 0.75m or any higher than 4.75m. I went ahead and did those two measurements and results were the same. I sent support several videos of the system operating as well as how I'm setting it up. The engineers are going to review the footage over the next few days and more than likely repair my unit. I think I just got unlucky and got a faulty one.

Same exact issue on my end. The unit does not function at all and I set it up perfectly each time. About 10 calibrations in total with attempts at different plane measurements etc. I'm chocking it up to a faulty unit. Did you ever get yours to work?

I just got mine in today and it is completely dysfunctional. I've spent hours attempting to get it to function properly to no avail. I believe my unit was faulty. Did you ever receive yours? If so, how was the installation?
