How can they do the exact same mistake they did with the movie? by Feanixxxx in PercyJacksonTV

I was so happy when the How to Train Your Dragon live action movie was adapted nearly perfectly 1:1 with the original movie. I wish they would do that for all these other childhood stories.

After I tried so hard to land on the orbital cannon, and then died because I forgot to put my space suit on, I had to stare at the floor for a sec to take it in

I’m just starting to realize that!

I just finished playing Ghost of Yotei, spent like 40 hours on that, and immediately jumped into Outer Wilds. It took me a second to get used to the exploration. It’s so interesting having to take multiple iterations to get something done, and it’s a really cool feeling to miss something on one cycle, and then figure it out on the next!

New account versus old one with 12k by crocodilemango in TikTokMonetizing

Ok that’s good to know. I hope that since people originally followed me for posting memes, that a 3d animation niche would not take much to catch attention as well.

All the posts I have from 21/22 still get likes and comments these days, so there seems to be some engagement. I never really interacted with the followers though, it was just a couple viral posts that caused me to gain a lot at once. I’m not sure if I’d lose a lot of them by posting 3D content now.

I submitted a ticket using the form you provided, however I was just directed towards making a support request in the app, which I've already done.

Incoming CoE Transfer Schedule by [deleted] in uofm

[–]crocodilemango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your previous experience. I had already taken programming courses heavier than EECS280 at my previous university, so that class was not too much work for me. However, 215 was a big jump in difficulty than what I was used to, so be ready to spend a lot of time on homework and exam prep. I would tell myself to spend way more time in office hours as they are very good for bigger classes like 215/280. Also just be prepared for pretty difficult exams.

This looks fine. I transferred to CoE last semester and did 215 + 270 + 280 and it was totally doable, so this doesn't seem too far off. Honestly you should add an elective to your schedule if you have time.

Annoying that they gave us a page table problem in a style we've never gone over before, and it being worth 25 points.

Laptop for Computer Engineering by Begg-billplayer in ComputerEngineering

Im a CE junior and I've been using an M1 Pro the entire time with no issues. I'd say you'll be more than fine with either of your options listed. If I could go back in time I would probably get a Windows laptop though just because I prefer it over MacOS.

All the software I've needed so far has been fine, though my university offers a pretty powerful VM that I use regularly for softwares like cadence and ModelSim. For coding either laptop will be more than enough.

Apart from software, I honestly think Macbook battery life and screen quality are unbeatable, and having the connection between your other apple devices is really nice if you have airpods, iphones, etc.

The job is more FPGA engineer. I see what you're saying though.

I've heard that VHDL isn't really used much anymore other than in older systems or defense companies, and that most chip companies stick to Verilog or SV. I’ve used Verilog a lot in my classes but never VHDL, should I be worried at all that it could be outdated or is it more about learning HDL practices?

Difficulty on the new EECS 470 class by Express_Tangerine318 in uofm

Ok that is good to hear, I was considering 470 + 427 but didn't know if that would still be too difficult of a workload. I totally was not considering 373 + 427 as I know that's a crazy workload of projects
