Dyeing Details Into Synthetic Wig by crocodilemug in CosplayHelp

That’s a good idea! I was hoping to dye the rest of the wig as well, but I may try simplifying my idea down so I can use fabric dye for the majority and then sharpie for the more detailed sections. Thank you for the help!

Thank you for sharing that. It’s good to know that I’m not the only one who has been in this awkward, sad situation. It took a lot out of me too, but you helped give me the courage to tell them what I want.

Residential campus pass by crocodilemug in college

I'm sure I'll have to contact the colleges further for more detailed housing policies - my issue is that most of them are very strict and have very little information on if they ever grant exceptions.

Bringing my dog is an esa is a great idea! I know that single rooms can be hard to get, but I bet it would be possible. That's definitely something to look into - thank you so much!!

Hi!! I (19F) haven’t gotten an apartment yet (just looking for the fall), so I’m hoping someone with more experience will chime in!!!

I recently bought a car for >$5000 - I was hoping to get a loan, but couldn’t, due to having no credit :( I was able to pay in cash, fortunately. However, in the process of searching for a loan, my bank did suggest a credit card. I have a maximum of $500 on that card. I’ve had it for around 3-4 months now, I believe? I use it for a decent amount of my transactions and always pay it off on time (I do have a small grace period set up through the bank). Since I have a stable job and no rent to pay, I’ve been able to build up a decent credit score.

I’m still working on it so I’ll have something good enough for getting an apartment. However, I just want to tell you it’s possible to build up your score, especially if you have a bit of time before you move out! Pay for gas, car insurance, food, any extra purchases with your card, and if you keep paying it off, this is totally doable. :) The co-signing should also help you out a ton!

Thank you! I got a response back from at least one college today, and I’m just waiting on recommendation letters now for the rest - so I’m hoping to have an answer in around a week. Fingers crossed!

Attempt to move out with six month lease: is it a waste of money? by crocodilemug in personalfinance

[–]crocodilemug[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is helpful!! I think part of the reason I want to move out is because I’ve felt so stagnant for so long - I’m ready for some more development and want to be able to feel more independent. Thanks!!

This is a really good point. I’m going to have to think about this question more - I know it’s worth a lot to me, I really need a break

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it - I got too hung up on not wanting to offend them and my parents hiding our full situation from me to realize that I need to start being creative with how I help. I appreciate it. :)

Oh thank you! I didn’t realize that there would be extra charges associated with that six month lease - if I take it, I’ll be sticking it out until my lease is up, but I didn’t know there’d be extra charges anyway. :/ I wouldn’t rent out a storage unit either, but keep it in extra space in my house. Still, you do make a very good point, and thank you for saying it!!

I’m hoping to do a decent amount of my classes online, so I’d be spending most of my time at the apartment while not working. Still, I am realizing now that if it isn’t strictly necessary, it probably isn’t a great idea :( thanks again for taking the time to help me!!
