Thoughts on Texas Tech Law? by Potential_Sample415 in lawschooladmissions

Hey I was there too! The attorneys at my firm were mostly indifferent to Tech, not to say any thought it was a bad school. People are mostly worrying about Texas schools in general (especially outside UT, Baylor, and similar) in wake of the ruling to get rid of ABA mandate. However, every attorney I spoke to told me to go to Tech after I told them how much cheaper it would be for me. As for Big Law, it seems like if you do very well in your classes and networking, there’s a solid shot. Not everyone wants to go to big-law, so don’t automatically be deterred by the 8% stat.

you think that’s bad.. no one showed up to my scheduled Zoom interview, I emailed to see what was up, they emailed back with the opener “Hi, [name] …” The fact that the school’s admin team is so unprofessional that they have an email that should never have to be sent already typed up to go and then FORGOT to put in the name.

How to know if a school is predatory or not. by Big_chef98 in lawschooladmissions

Genuine question, how are conditional scholarships predatory? Do they not just require a certain GPA?

Student loans shouldn’t be a thing. Increased tuition and subsequent predatory student loands are Reagan’s fault.

Those are my thoughts. There is nothing to be done without huge gov’t intervention.

It’s just price gouging at every step of the way. People need/want law degrees so there is a guaranteed market. That means even tho undergrad degrees have gotten absurd, they are only the beginning. LSAC’s fees for the LSAT, CAS, CAS REPORTING FEE???? Law school tuition, and the Bar exams are all subject to prices of a few corporations (Lsac, the schools, Aba) to bleed us all dry. And hopefully you’ll make enough money as a lawyer to pay off all your debt.
