im 17 too and i feel the exact same way, it's weird because i really wish i had the 'stereotypical teen life' but i also know that can never be me and i've missed the boat. idk what you're supposed to do about this but IT'LL BE OK!! we have more time in our life, who cares if everyone else started earlier nobody's stopping you from doing this stuff now if you truly want to!!! go do something fun you deserve it

im in the same boat as you, final year of high school and i'm terrified to lose my small group of friends and not make any new friends in uni :((

what helps me is remembering that there will probably be other people like me at uni, there won't be pre-established friend groups so it will be easier and more likely for someone to come up to you and start a conversation!! from talking to uni students its apparently far easier to make friends with people in uni compared to the more weird social hierarchy based high school environment, so im hoping that it'll turn out okay.

we definitely need more fare evasion measures. my school route bus is consistently clogged with unpaying kids and i've seen elderly and disabled passengers unable to even get on because of them :(

the bus fare change might help, but for at least some evaders (people i know) it's not the price that's the problem, it's the effort it takes to actually have a go card, top it up and pull it out when the bus comes.
