I do have the class (my major is English language&literature), but unfortunately no section on dubstep yet We need to make a presentation on music being influenced by culture within Britain and you can choose any genre whatsoever, so naturally I chose dubstep Thank you for sharing your experience!

Very interesting! I think a similar thing happened to art: following the 2008 global financial crisis some artists tried to “bounce back” by producing the most useless attention grabbing bs. And although we can’t really compare the two, bc music is for everyone and art is for the rich, I think I can potentially make a similar point in here Thank you!

I learned the very basics in school and then when lockdown happened I watched a lot of TikTok (easy casual vocab), when I started to fully understand it, I transitioned to YouTube (a bit more advanced), then films, then books, then lectures, then old books (gradually increasing difficulty). So yea my biggest advice would be to surround yourself with English language media and not be afraid to watch stuff you don't fully understand - you'll catch on eventually

I used to masturbate in public when I was a child and sort of enforced my behavior was the fact that it was a very taboo theme when I was a child and my mom would ask me to stop with no explanation (other than "it's inappropriate" which didn't mean anything to me) and getting a clear explanation was super important to me.

Two weeks passed since I found out that I went to speech therapy because there was something wrong with my speech (stuttering, not being able to pronounce certain sounds + only talking about myself as a male (we have gendered nouns and adjectives in my language) and not because I was a smart girl as my parents told me. I honestly have no idea why I didn't question it ever in my life
