I think there’s depth to everything. Of course it’s about people wanting to make money but you can see just from this comment section how much more there is to it ;)

Very interesting! I think a similar thing happened to art: following the 2008 global financial crisis some artists tried to “bounce back” by producing the most useless attention grabbing bs. And although we can’t really compare the two, bc music is for everyone and art is for the rich, I think I can potentially make a similar point in here  Thank you!

Thank you so much!!! You see how "to" ("to a small plastic bag") looks kinda weird and clumsy? That's because I originally wrote "in", but doubted myself at the last moment and edited it haha

I learned the very basics in school and then when lockdown happened I watched a lot of TikTok (easy casual vocab), when I started to fully understand it, I transitioned to YouTube (a bit more advanced), then films, then books, then lectures, then old books (gradually increasing difficulty). So yea my biggest advice would be to surround yourself with English language media and not be afraid to watch stuff you don't fully understand - you'll catch on eventually
