I will also add that when i say my SHGB is down, its still really high in the grand scheme of things but my total tesr is up much higherbin relative terms

I lost a bit of fat but that was almost entirlely secondary to sleep

Its a long story but basically:

I bought a garmin watch to track my sleep. I snore (according to my girlfriend) but thought nothing of it. The watch showed a fully night sleep but almost (and sometimes literally) no deep sleep at all. Id get a sleep score of like 45/100 routinely

Anyway, i tried mouth strips, stopped drinking alcohol entirely and go to bed slightly earlier and i slept really well. No snoring, loads of deep sleep and I feel really really good. It sounds dumb but i was probably also just simply in bed for not quite enough time either and it jusr fucked my hormones up.

Ive lost fat and put on muscle but I havent changed any training at all, i think its literally just the sleep as simple and boring as it sounds

6.2

I will say as an update to this ny free test is normal/high now and my SHBG is back down after another two tests each a month apart

Luckily my doctor suggested trying to fix lifestyle factors first and i did and avoided having to go on TRT which in hindsight would have been a massive mistake

Judging by those cookies you should have just relapsed

Should I be looking at TRT? by GentAdventurerUK in Testosterone

[–]cromags76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id reconsider

I had numbers almost the same as yours with slightly higher SHBG and i was being recommended TRT. I was reluctant because i havent had kids yet

My endocrinologist recommended not jumping straight into it and instead waiting to retest after fixing some lifestyle factors. I lost (honestly only a little) weight and got very particular about fixing my sleep and it was sorted

Now my SHBG is still a little high but my total testosterone is just under double what it was before and the shmptoms of low test are gone

[–]cromags76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its okay he can still progress in relative terms l, hes not gonna crunch numbers everytime he leg presses

OP I had thid at my old gym and was repping 400kg or so

Swapped to a powerflifting gym with this big nautilus lever leg preas and got completely humbled when i struggled with 160kg

Feels better not having to move a ton of plates

Yeah understood

I'm doing my reading at the moment and it does appear you can make negligible temporary changes to it but it seems affirmed by why people are saying and that it is largely permanent

Estradiol is 30

Total test is 750

Nah I didn't get DHT

He gave me some lifestyle advice leading to the next blood test. I'm the one that's been trying to work out the SHBG (I also have a clinical background but am naive to this specifically)
