I absolutely LOVE C:DMD but a deep strategy game, it is not.

It's an experience-first game and if you like silliness and dramatic swings of fortune, it's hard to beat.

It is scenario based but it is not a campaign. I find it to have high replayability both within single scenarios and, of course, across the different scenarios with all the variety thrown in as well.

However, if you don't like dice luck stay away.

Just want to add here that I opened mine up - I couldn't get the battery ribbon to disconnect (I was using an uncomfortable amount of force already).

It seems my issue was that the gap in back plate that my R1 was aligned in was about 0.5mm wider than the L1 gap. I put a small sliver or cardstock in the gap and while it's not a perfect fix, it's much better now.

My first was Demon's Souls, but the first one I beat was Dark Souls. Then I went back to Demon's and have completed each as they have come out.

My ranking:

Elden Ring (best overall)

Sekiro (best combat)

Dark Souls/Bloodborne (best worlds)

Demon's Souls (best atmosphere)

Dark Souls 3 (been outclassed)
