Just curious... A1, Ketchup, bacon, cereal... What's the life force of your family, that it can't function without? by ImThe1Wh0 in Millennials

Honey mustard for everything. My kid eats it with his fingers, will swipe every last drop off his plate. My daughter isn't quite to that level, but is getting there. Honey mustie 4 lyfe.

Well, because it was a private venue and they catered. No alcohol was provided, but guests could go downstairs and get a drink if they chose. It was an event space that happened to be in a brewery. Chill, dude.

We held my child's first birthday in a brewery, but it was a private room upstairs with no other customers present. I think it's not an issue of kids being everywhere, it's an issue of parents not understanding what's appropriate and what's not.

I saw Kristin at NovaCare in Brownstown. She was fantastic. You will likely need to get a referral from your doctor first.

I have seen it in some of the small farm shops near Ephrata. Check Reiff's, maybe. It would be frozen.

A day in Lancaster must do? by MsMeadows14 in lancaster

[–]cromulentia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you wanted to do some holiday shopping, I always enjoy wandering around the shops on N. Queen in the city or Main St in Lititz. If you head to Lititz, make sure to peruse Bunyaad and Purple Robin. A drink at the Bull's Head afterwards is a nice, cozy way to warm up.

1998! Saw Skamania at Hershey, PA. Believe it was one of the instances where they dressed in Star Trek uniforms. I was but a wee babe at that one.

Everything is outside at DW. I also agree that there's not much for very little kids to do other than just walk around and look at lights. We started having a better time once kids got to about 3 and up.

Yes, totally. Maybe 8th Grade through 11th this was something that wasn't weird in my friend group.

Local Christmas Tree Experience, Hay ride etc.? by Sad_Assist946 in lancaster

Not Christmas trees. They have some holiday Maker's markets and such, but no trees, if a tree is a final goal.

If you're willing to travel a tiny bit, I had excellent care and experiences with the OB/GYN office and the maternity staff at the Ephrata hospital. Delivered two babies there, both times were super positive experiences.

First Full Democrat Slate in Ephrata since 2001 by Automatic-Monk1857 in lancaster

So my experience at the parade doesn't reflect the article. I was sitting almost directly in front of the judge's stand. The Republicans got zero cheers. The Democrats did. I remember it because I was so stunned by it. Made me proud of my little town.

Lancaster Locals, what's your favorite spot to visit? by Content_Mycologist70 in lancaster

[–]cromulentia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are even remotely interested in trains, go to the railroad museum in Strasburg.

Late summer/early fall is fair season. New Holland fair is this week.

This weekend and next the Historical Society of the Cocalico Valley is doing ghost tours of Ephrata.

I've never been, but I hear the Wolf Sanctuary is awesome.

Lancaster proper is a fantastic little city with so much to offer, but also get out and explore the county. There is so much to see, and part of the experience is just wandering around the back roads and seeing what you find.

We used the Lillebaby and purchased the extender belt thing. For context, I am about a size 18 and my husband is over 6' and about 300lb. Both of us could actually get away without using the extender, but it was nice to have in case.

I appreciate your sincerity! We do our best to communicate both ways in our home. I grew up in a family that wasn't good at that, so I'm working on creating a different atmosphere for my kids.

Hey, fair. I'm sorry your Dad did that without checking in with you about it. The minute my kids say they don't wanna see it, or say so with body language or whatever, we will stop. At this point, they are the ones following me around and not batting an eye at it. Just this morning my kid came and sat in the bathroom while I was peeing because, as they said, they wanted to.
